UPDATE: Firefox Web Browser Flash Issues – RESOLVED

As reported in an earlier post on October 25, v.49 had  a known Flash issue causing slowness and visual errors.

Mozilla has now released Firefox v.50 which has resolved these issues. If your version of Firefox has not already updated automatically, here is how to update it manually:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu , click help Help-29 and select About Firefox.
  2. The About Firefox window will open and Firefox will begin checking for updates and downloading them automatically.
  3. When the updates are ready to be installed, click Restart Firefox to Update.

Looks like its now Mozilla Firedfox. I use Chrome (Microsoft Edge is ugh) with Adblocker and I usually don’t have any problems… (minus the usual annoying bugs in the park, blaaah XP)

I haven’t been having any problems with Safari. I hate the stupid video ads, though.

It’s those video ads. They’re the WORST! I honestly don’t see why we pay for deluxe, only to be forced to sit through video ads that crash our systems. It’s no bueno!

  4. FreeBird says:

Do not use Microsoft Edge – it does not allow you to play many of the Today’s Activities, the only job you can do is Delivery Job in employment. I suggest using Chrome it seems to be the only browser SO far with no issues.

All of the flash problems are amplified by your dumb video ads through our houses and games turn on your ad blockers it has still some quirks but works much better than it was At least it has for me that grey puzzle piece you referred to is flash player about to crash Tiny19540112

I can tell the one main reason we all have problems with Webkinz in most of the browsers. I don’t include Internet Browser in this because Microsoft has officially “abandoned” Internet Browser in favor of the largely nonuseable Edge. But main overall culprit, at least for me, is the blasted video ads. I have learned that the minute I am signed in on Chrome, which works the best, is to go back and X out of the very main page because if I don’t the inevitable video ad that runs there will slow down, lock up and freeze Webkinz. So much so that my only recourse is to X out of Chrome altogether. I will also note, what while I play in Webkinz on Chrome, I visit the Webkinz Newz and do the daily peek a news and such in Internet Browser for the very simple fact, Internet browser ignores every single one of those useless and accursed video ads.

AdBlock is your friend. Make friends with AdBlock. I suppose I should be sorry they lose ad revenue from me, but because of AdBlock, I can try to persist in playing past all the other problems and aggravations and heartbreak and misery since the tragedy of Webkinz X pretty much ruined all the things. I’m still trying to hang in here, therefore still buying pets, Deluxe memberships, and making eStore purchases, so I feel they get plenty from me. Also, using Webkinz without AdBlock kills my computer, just kills it, and it is my only communication device with the outside world, so if I let ads destroy it, I am not only cut off, but hey, then I can’t play Webkinz at all, and therefore would not need pets and Deluxe, etc….

Microsoft Edge won’t allow you to do a lot of the jobs in the Employment Office. I had to download Chrome to carry on playing Webkinz. It has only been since the Windows 10 major update which messed up the workings of lots of applications I have. There is a long standing issue in Magic Mire which means you always have to wait ages for a long string to resolve before it works. It crashes after finding a gem in the Fairy Forest. The floating gold coins I have been collecting recently crash whatever you are doing every time. It also crashes every time you try to put them in your room to change to a coin you can sell. I had to close Chrome with the red cross each time yesterday and did 39 coins over 2 accounts, so it took a lot of clicking out and logging in 41 times to sell them. Please get this sorted out. The last lot of gold coins were just as bad.

I play with 2 different browsers. FireFox has white page webkinz so I get the AD’s and Chrome with ADBlocker plus.. My Chrome is the latest 10 and works great but lately a gray puzzle piece apears top left as I change pages but does not affect game play. Fire Fox with you change is slow but faster tan before your fix . I play Firefox to get the AD’s and to play against myself ;) helps a lot .
