When you see a silver paw, that is something which can be unlocked with a Full Membership or a Deluxe Membership. You can get a Full Membership by adopting a new Webkinz Pet. Each new Webkinz Pet adoption extends your Full Membership for 1 year from the date that you adopt them.
The gold badge is for Deluxe Membership only. Deluxe Members get access to everything that Full Members do, and much, MUCH more, without needing to adopt any new Webkinz Pets (but you still can adopt as many as you want to!)

well the better one costs more money
I have played this many years with my Kids, I have 8 kids with accounts so no way I am paying for deluxe, I have always liked the security and safety webkinz brought to my kids versus social media accounts. I have already put a lot of money into webkinz. With well over 200 webkinz between all the accounts of my children I shouldn’t be treated as free accounts we have put a ton of money into webkinz. The signature pets are as much as $40 and the others have been around $15. I hope that Ganz considers giving back stuff to those members that had pets, I agree those that get the free trial pet and account should be limited but to those that add pets we should get back our game

So I have a question for all ye deluxe members: If ye get a pet with thy Ganz points, will thy deluxe membership get extended for a year as well?
I am personally glad deluxe members/memberships exist. Here’s my logic: If deluxe memberships didn’t exist, I suspect that Webkinz wouldn’t make enough money to continue running and it would be ended (Like my childhood favorite Wiglington and Wenks). So hurah for deluxe members who fuel the website (and the future) of Webkinz.
I partly agree with all the people wishing there wasn’t so much deluxe only stuff, but I think, in a way, it’s fun. E.g. It’s fun to try to create your dream room with non-deluxe items, trying to get the right look with maybe not every thing in the theme and substituting the deluxe items with every one items. And there’s the occasional time when a super nice deluxe member trades you a deluxe item for your hamburger… So while it would be fun to have every thing ‘free’ (to paying members), it adds a little spice to playing non-deluxe. -Nosaroni
I Hate deluxe(not the members) but one year Ganz World went REALLY CRAZY and banned free members from almost EVERYTHING, made full members get a deluxe account to do ANYTHING, and more. i wish deluxe wasn’t even THOUGHT of. im a full member and i dont have enough money to get a deluxe account. but i do like webkinz itself.
now I never get the deluxe membership or the other one because I think it is expensive , but it would be cool if I get the deluxe membership, because then you can unlock everything anywhere! , and I love adopting Webkinz a lot, but now the prices have gone up a lot more now , and on amazon.com they are very very expensive just for a mini Webkinz! and if one day they turn almost everything in to deluxe membership, then I am leaving Webkinz forever, unless if they make a lot of stuff for non-members. I ask my mom and dad if I can buy a deluxe membership with my money, and they say that it is way too expensive and not worth it.so this is my opinon about both of the memberships: I think that the prices should be lowered down for memberships and that they should try to make a lot of everything non- membership so that these non-member people can have more fun!
