We’ve made some temporary changes to the way gardening items work with the NEW Webkinz!
In an effort to make gardening available to everyone at the launch of the NEW Webkinz, you may have noticed that your plants aren’t behaving in exactly the same way. We wanted to make sure that all gardening items could still be harvested, although there is still some outstanding functionality that we are working on.
Here are the current temporary changes to gardening items:
- Gardening items do not require any maintenance (no watering or raking)
- Plants ready for harvest will not die (they will remain ready to harvest)
- All gardening plants will only yield 1 food item per harvest
All gardening items will still grow at the same rate and you will be able to check on their progress each day.

The only plants in my garden are the cranberry and 4 jellybean plants. My yard has blocks in the rest of it. The rest of my plants I purchased from the e store are blocks. It has been that way for 3 week, before they even changed to the new Webkinz, I complained to ganz about it. I have a yard with those berries that during the berry collecting were gone. My entire berry collection was gone DURING the competition. Depressing. Now I can’t put new things in my room they turn into big blue funny looking balls. I try to collect all the trees and things that produce stuff so that I can make money every day. Well it won’t go in my rooms. OK, that is my complaining for today thanks for reading. I really hope all these new changes are worth it and I really hope they fix it soon. But I bet one thing there are enough people that are on Webkinz to keep ganz working overtime. lololol
today, 7/20…was finally able to harvest…thank you for fixing the issue.
I can tolerate the garden although I rather enjoyed taking care of them but I do wish Webkinz would get the last 3 bottom letters working on Eager Beaver and fix Jumbleberry Fields so I could put all my berries in the jars
as of 7/19, still get nothing from my gardens…very frustrating!!
I am missing furniture, not only old stuff but the new Sweet 16 book nook as well. None of the older stuff that was animated is working either. I have upgraded my flash driver but all to no avail. Frustrated!!!!!
I for one enjoyed gardening every day, made getting Kinzcash easier and faster so no, I do not like the new update. In fact I hardly go on Webkinz anymore and may delete my account soon because I am so frustrated with feeding my pet and losing energy so quickly just playing games. Wish Webkinz had stayed the way it was.
Ha ha. I was so confused when I finally logged back in and saw my expected to be dry plants into freshly ready to be harvest veggies. I thought it was gonna be a permanent thing now, but guess it’s only temporary. Fair enough. In the meantime, Veggies for everyone!
Hello Steve Webkinz … I did what you suggested and removed my Banana Blast Ice Cream Seeds and reloaded my garden. However, my garden still remains all boxes and the Banana Blast Ice Cream seeds are NOT in my dock. Help! Will this be fixed soon and my Banana Blast Ice Creams seeds restored to my account?? Please reply. Thank you.
I’m having lots of troubles with the NEW WEBKINZ and here are a few of them, items in my pets rooms that are invisible, having to change the size of the screen so I can see what the things say. I also have 3 gardens that feed my many pets and none of them are working they say not ready for harvest yet. I see that you can only harvest food once from a plant so I have to buy seeds all the time to grow food to feed my pets I think it’s easier just to buy food it’s faster than trying to grow them. I also find that everyday my pets need food and even if the pet is near 100% and I give them one or two things the food chart goes down to ZERO and it takes quite a bit of food to fill them back up again somewhere between 10 or 12 food items. I also tried to fill all my HEARTS and just about did but the next day many of them were at ZERO and the others were at half or less, it took me 4 days to fill most of my pets HEARTS and ONE night to empty them!!!!! This seems like a lot of work for nothing maybe I’m getting to old for all my pets. I’ve taken care of them for 6 years now and with all the changes it seems more like work than having fun with them!!! I hope that WEBKINZ listens to our complaints and fixes all the problems. I know nobody likes change but it happens and this a game so why is the cost so high? I used to be able to take care of MY PETS in a few hours now it takes ALL DAY good thing it’s Summer Vacation!!!!!
I agree with you. There have been so many changes that it is totally frustrating. Many items are invisible in my rooms and therefore can’t add new items as there is something there I can’t see. Meters keep going out of whack for me too. Keep getting booted out when I try to fill my Jumbleberry jars. I sure preferred the old Webkinz !!!!
My plants don’t seem to be progressing…I have some plants that look like they should be harvested but I can’t harvest them….???
