We’ve made some temporary changes to the way gardening items work with the NEW Webkinz!
In an effort to make gardening available to everyone at the launch of the NEW Webkinz, you may have noticed that your plants aren’t behaving in exactly the same way. We wanted to make sure that all gardening items could still be harvested, although there is still some outstanding functionality that we are working on.
Here are the current temporary changes to gardening items:
- Gardening items do not require any maintenance (no watering or raking)
- Plants ready for harvest will not die (they will remain ready to harvest)
- All gardening plants will only yield 1 food item per harvest
All gardening items will still grow at the same rate and you will be able to check on their progress each day.

Wow this is awesome, I wish it would just stay this way. It loads so much quicker now too.
Staying with the original post/thread concerning the garden – Thank you for removing the need to rake and water. I would also appreciate the need for the popup congratulating me on each individual crop picking. Could we have a button, like the edit selector, for “Begin harvesting, finished harvesting” and THEN just one popup of acknowledgment? Maybe if we want to pick them, in one big harvest, we could pay a little money? Have a big machine roll over the garden and pick everything up a couple of passes? More like the real thing. Thanks for all you do!
Another major problem for me, even before this new webkinzx- I cannot use the strength class at the webkinz school. Have not been able to finish challenges because of this. e-mailed webkinz with no response. HELP!!
I so agree with the problem with Berry plants. When you buy them for a tremendous amount of g points they look like they will yield 4-5 berries. In reality, you only get one. Deceptive……….
I still can’t garden, what am I missing?
Some of the seeds I plant are only gray squares, and other plants like the ice cream plants are also gray squares, when I click on a plant it won’t give me an option to rake, dig, water or anything. We rely on these for kinz cash and also for food, since the animals are eating more. Please help with our gardens.
I picked all my crops befor the game changed so does that mean none will grow so I get nothing till when ever ????
No, they all reset at the same time and will grow regardless.
Sorry Gennelle but the reset isn’t working for everything.
