A new 8 step challenge starts today and will run until midnight, Friday, July 31 (EST), on Webkinz Classic. When you complete each step of the challenge, you’ll be awarded an Ice Cream Social Gift Box that you can use to choose your own prize!
Here’s how to play: Look for the Ice Cream Social Challenge icon on your Webkinz Classic account (desktop and browser versions of Webkinz Classic only). It will be displayed along the left side of your screen:
There are three tasks you’ll need to complete to finish each step of this challenge: Earn a specific amount of points during one game of Cash Cow 2, make 5 wishes at Wishing Well 2, and feed your pet an Ice Cream Cone from the WShop:
The number of points you’ll need to earn during one game of Cash Cow 2 increases with each step of the challenge, making it more difficult as you progress.
You can play Cash Cow 2 at the Games Arcade on Webkinz Classic (desktop and browser versions of Webkinz Classic only):
During the game, click on groups of 2 or more bottles of matching color to remove them. The larger the group, the more points you will get! If you make enough points in a level to reach the goal, you will move on to the next level:
You’ll also need to play Wishing Well 2 at the Games Arcade during the Ice Cream Social Challenge. You only need to make 5 wishes to complete each step of the challenge, so this can easily be completed in one day:
Finally, you’ll need to feed your pet an Ice Cream Cone from the WShop to complete each step of the challenge, so this task can be easily complete in one day as well.
You’ll find Ice Cream Cones in the Food > Ingredients section of the WShop. It’s available on Page 4:
Drag an Ice Cream Cone from your Dock, onto your Webkinz to feed your pet.
When you manage to complete each step of this challenge you’ll win an Ice Cream Social Gift Box:
Drag the gift box from your Dock into your room to open it. Then, choose which prize you would like to keep:
There are eight prizes to choose from, so, if you manage to complete all 8 steps of this challenge by midnight, Friday, July 31 (EST), you’ll be able to collect all eight prizes, or choose duplicates of your favorite prizes.

I’m not having luck with this!
I agree with the other comments, the last 2 steps were way too tough. I am now deciding if I want to waste 4 hours each day trying to get a score of 1300, spend ganz $ to skip that step, or if there is one prize that does not seem worth that much ganz $$. My high score was 1435 way back before they changed the dynamics of the game and it is not impossible to get near any of my prior high scores. Sorry ganz this challenge has nice prizes but the last couple of scores are just too high. Sally Ganz Betty Butter what are your thoughts on these comments.
I have basically given up on this challenge after playing so many times and not achieving the required score in a single game. I was able to finish the first 4 levels playing the Cash Cow 2 game but then used precious e-store points for levels 5 and 6. Am now stuck on Level 7 and don’t see how I will earn enough points. I hope they offer the challenge/prizes again at a future date but lower the point totals or allow players to accumulate points. Very disappointed!
Is anybody else’s Ice Cream Social Gift Box stuck in their dock? I click on it, the prizes show but I don’t get them and the Gift Box remains!
I agree with so many regarding the difficulty of completing this challenge. Love the challenges, but sometimes the expectations are unrealistic. Who has hours to sit and play the same game over and over only to fail time after time? The challenge also has 8 boxes with 8 prizes…so unless you pass them all, you have to forfeit some of them. The most discouraging part is that Ganz never seems to listen to and respond when so many people voice their concerns.
I made it to the last step last night. In an earlier post, I commented I would be lucky to make it to 750. That’s because I was remembering trying to make that score in Adventure Park. It took me forever to pass it, which now I see how much that helped me over the years. It took me several hours last night to make it to 1201. I have no idea if I will make it to 1300 for the 8th step. I know I won’t stop until it ends – I wish it was tonight so I will have to stop playing. After this, I have no desire to ever play it again.
I started the last step of the challenge today – had a really good game going, too. My score was 1299 – one point short – can you believe that. :-((( Will try again tomorrow. Good Luck, everyone.
This challenge is unattainable for most of us. I am an adult and have played Webkinz since it’s beginning. This is the first challenge I have not completed. Very sad since these are great prizes. We have until August for the trees and that is simple. We either need more time or a game that the score can be reached by more than just a few. Very disappointed.
Exactly! It’s the worse combo of being insanely difficult, paired with hardly any time to even work at it. Had they given months at least, I might have tried more but I can’t spend 2-4 hours each day for a week straight failing at the same game. It’s becoming such difficult work that I feel like I should be getting paid for this, not the other way around. I can’t imagine what they were thinking, but whoever was responsible for this one, should never handle the requirements for a challenge again. If this type of thing continues, I will be stepping away from Webkinz after 20 years of faithfully playing everything they have thrown at me. I am beyond disappointed with this one.
I’m currently on the last step of this challenge. It’d sure be helpful if Cash Cow 2 was the game of the day, hint, hint, Webkinz staff.
