What are Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions are a new form of currency in Webkinz World. Each Medallion is pet-specific. When you collect enough of a particular Pet Medallion, you can trade them in to adopt that virtual pet – for FREE! There are also special ‘AnyPet’ Medallions, which act like a wild card and can be used toward any pet.
How do you get Pet Medallions?
You can earn Pet Medallions a couple of ways. Look for the red gift box icon in the Arcade to see which games offer Medallions and when you play one of those games, you have a chance of winning a prize which might be a Medallion! You can win up to 10 prizes per day in the Arcade. And you can earn one ‘AnyPet’ Medallion by trading 10 Pet Medallions of any one pet. Look for more ways to earn Pet Medallions in the future!

Between June 6 and 12 you have even more chances to earn Medallions! You can earn one extra Pet Medallion a day when you see the floating Pet Medallion in Webkinz World and click on it!

Where can you find your Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions don’t appear in your Dock but it’s easy to see how many you’ve collected. Just open your ‘My Pets’ window and you’ll find a new tab called ‘Medallions’. Medallion pets appear here, along with a meter showing how many Medallions you have collected toward each pet, as well as the total number of Medallions required for each. You can click on each pet for information about its PSI and PSF.

How do you adopt a pet using Medallions?
When you’ve earned enough Medallions to adopt a pet, the meter beneath that pet will change to an ‘Adopt’ button. Just click the button and you will be taken to the Adoption Center and complete the adoption process as you would for any Webkinz pet.

Are Pets adopted using Medallions the same as regular Webkinz Pets?
Just like any Webkinz pet, a Medallion pet comes with its own Pet-Specific Item and Pet-Specific Food, and it behaves like any other pet in Webkinz World. It makes Pet Requests and has Happiness, Hunger, and Energy meters that need to be filled to help increase your Family Score. The only difference is that pets purchased using Medallions do not extend your Full Membership.

Which Pets can you adopt using Pet Medallions?
There are currently twelve pets which can be adopted using Pet Medallions, including two brand new pets that can only be adopted using Medallions! Each pet has a unique Medallion value – the rarer the pet, the more Medallions you’ll need. The pets are:

- Cheeky Monkey
- Clydesdale
- Gargowl
- Signature English Spot Bunny
- Signature Normande Cow
- Stone Lion
- Tigerlily Pup

IF we got a generic medallion EVERY day, that would be almost 7 MONTHS to get 200 coins, but that is not the way it is. Get one medallion floaty clicky for a few days this past week and ( one type pet one day and one type pet another) and can MAYBE win one in a game – come on Ganz! This is not reality. Not worth it. Lots of luck to all those trying to get a pet.

Does anybody here no how to get the Dragon fly and rainbow google ?
Since some of these pets are exclusive or valuable, like the stone lion, the signatures, the diamond dragonfly, and the rainbow Googles, it makes sense why they would be worth many pet medallions. I believe the amount of medallions needed to get them shouldn’t be lowered. However, it is extremely difficult and very time consuming to get the medallions. Players must spend hours and hours playing games just to get a one medallion or a few medallions. Webkinz, please offer other ways we can get pet medallions. The floating medallion is a wonderful idea, but maybe it could be like the magic W floaty-clicky and be floating around everyday. That would definitely make it easier to get medallions. Also, it is great to receive a pet medallion as a log-in prize, which I have a few times. So instead of lowering the amount needed to win a pet, maybe Webkinz could just give out medallions as prizes in Webkinz World. Maybe they could even be won in the log-out carnival or on wheels. I wouldn’t mind if medallions were about as hard to win as wish tokens.
I agree wholeheartedly WebkinzFanCEG. If you get one everyday floating, then you would stand a chance at getting a pet in a year’s time. Otherwise, this just feels like an impossible task. I don’t have time to spend playing so much. My brother and aunt play too but we have 2 accounts and I can’t benefit on medallions from their deluxe account. If they don’t figure out ways to get folks more medallions, this event won’t mean anything.

essentially lowering the medallion amount or offering more ways or easier ways to get them is the same thing either way the point is to make it an attainable task i wouldnt rule out either option

Ganz I hope that our commentary on this subject is taken into consideration all of kinzville was extremely excited but now many have come to the accept it is an unreachable goal after speaking to many we all feel it is impossible or not worth the amount of EFFORT and TIME !!!! ty sooo much friend even though they are free pets they shouldnt be that difficult i mean in a year i probably get 50 wish tokens at most and some prizes would take me years the medallions are going down that same route plus ganz has given free pets two other times and the difficulty level doesnt compare to this time around sigh
