What are Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions are a new form of currency in Webkinz World. Each Medallion is pet-specific. When you collect enough of a particular Pet Medallion, you can trade them in to adopt that virtual pet – for FREE! There are also special ‘AnyPet’ Medallions, which act like a wild card and can be used toward any pet.
How do you get Pet Medallions?
You can earn Pet Medallions a couple of ways. Look for the red gift box icon in the Arcade to see which games offer Medallions and when you play one of those games, you have a chance of winning a prize which might be a Medallion! You can win up to 10 prizes per day in the Arcade. And you can earn one ‘AnyPet’ Medallion by trading 10 Pet Medallions of any one pet. Look for more ways to earn Pet Medallions in the future!

June 6 – 12, Look for the Floating Medallion!
Between June 6 and 12 you have even more chances to earn Medallions! You can earn one extra Pet Medallion a day when you see the floating Pet Medallion in Webkinz World and click on it!

Where can you find your Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions don’t appear in your Dock but it’s easy to see how many you’ve collected. Just open your ‘My Pets’ window and you’ll find a new tab called ‘Medallions’. Medallion pets appear here, along with a meter showing how many Medallions you have collected toward each pet, as well as the total number of Medallions required for each. You can click on each pet for information about its PSI and PSF.

How do you adopt a pet using Medallions?
When you’ve earned enough Medallions to adopt a pet, the meter beneath that pet will change to an ‘Adopt’ button. Just click the button and you will be taken to the Adoption Center and complete the adoption process as you would for any Webkinz pet.

Are Pets adopted using Medallions the same as regular Webkinz Pets?
Just like any Webkinz pet, a Medallion pet comes with its own Pet-Specific Item and Pet-Specific Food, and it behaves like any other pet in Webkinz World. It makes Pet Requests and has Happiness, Hunger, and Energy meters that need to be filled to help increase your Family Score. The only difference is that pets purchased using Medallions do not extend your Full Membership.

Which Pets can you adopt using Pet Medallions?
There are currently twelve pets which can be adopted using Pet Medallions, including two brand new pets that can only be adopted using Medallions! Each pet has a unique Medallion value – the rarer the pet, the more Medallions you’ll need. The pets are:
- American Golden
- Blossom Fish
- Calico Cat
- Cheeky Monkey
- Clydesdale
- Gargowl
- Signature English Spot Bunny
- Signature Normande Cow
- Stone Lion
- Tigerlily Pup
- Rainbow Googles NEW!
- Diamond Dragonfly NEW!

Also in case sally or steve ganz sees this post, please tell the people at webkinz studios that they NEED to fix this system!! 1. make it so that it requires less points in a game to get a pet medallion. 2. make it so when we do get enough points you will ALWAYS get a pet madallion and NOT another prize! 3. Make it so regular members can catch 3 floating medallions a day and deluxe members can catch 5 medallions!! I hope sally or steve ganz pass this along to the people at webkinz studios!! :-D
EVERYONE LISTEN! 1. You CAN earn medallions in mobile because all of the games in the mobile arcade earn medallions EXCEPT goobers atomic adventure. 2. When you do earn enough points to earn a prize it will not always give you a medallion and you may get a piece from the floral theme because i got a floral chair as a prize for getting enough points. 3. it is impossible to get pet medallions because i have been playing for THREE HOURS and have only gotten one madallion from playing a game in the arcade and one pet madallion from the floaty clicky!! :-(
have you earned any medallions from the games in mobile? Because none of the games show the little gift boxes on them.
Yes i have and also they said in podkinz 100 that they will NOT be adding the little boxes to the games on mobile because ALL of the games on mobile work except for wheel of wow and goobers adventure. hope this helps! :)

Will more pets be added to the token list?
Love that Webkinz and Ganz are trying new things to keep folks interested~this is a fun idea! Just curious, will the medallion boxes switch up on different games or are the games they appear on today always be the games we play to earn? Thanks, Pokemom :D

I played for a couple hours this morning, only got one “box” and there wasn’t a medallion in it. It was a rug. I’m decent at the games I was playing and felt my scores should have been high enough to earn boxes. Being that I’m a mom, I’m worried it will be very difficult for kids to earn these. The requirements seem to be VERY high for the games. If I played for a couple hours and didn’t even get one medallion, i’m never going to be able to get one of these pets even though I play daily. I was SUPER excited for this to roll out, but now I’m just disappointed and it seems like the age group this game was actually made for is left in the dust again as it’s going to be impossible for them to earn enough medallions.
I agree! My daughters are young which I would think most kids playing webkinz are and this is very difficult. Great idea but at times, I think they make winning stuff on Webkinz too hard. :(
I agree with you, tried so many times but only got one “box” and it didn’t even have a medallion. I have officially given up. I’m not going to waste time on something like this when the outcome is so bad. I am just a kid playing these games and it’s too hard for me.
I’ve played 4 of the games, even finishing Craft Canaries. No tokens. How does this work?
I finished Crafty Canaries twice and didn’t get a box or token either. :( How much do you have to earn to get one?
I got to level 9 and failed and I got a box but not a token in Crafty Canaries. I wonder if there’s some randomness to getting the box.
I made it to level 11 on crafty canaries and got a medallion
Been playing goody gumdrops for almost 50 minutes with a highest score of 26,140 (an in game distance of 19,900 or something like that) but i haven’t got a single pet medallion aside from the floaty clicky which came along between games, just what do i have to do to get just one medallion?!
