What are Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions are a new form of currency in Webkinz World. Each Medallion is pet-specific. When you collect enough of a particular Pet Medallion, you can trade them in to adopt that virtual pet – for FREE! There are also special ‘AnyPet’ Medallions, which act like a wild card and can be used toward any pet.
How do you get Pet Medallions?
You can earn Pet Medallions a couple of ways. Look for the red gift box icon in the Arcade to see which games offer Medallions and when you play one of those games, you have a chance of winning a prize which might be a Medallion! You can win up to 10 prizes per day in the Arcade. And you can earn one ‘AnyPet’ Medallion by trading 10 Pet Medallions of any one pet. Look for more ways to earn Pet Medallions in the future!

June 6 – 12, Look for the Floating Medallion!
Between June 6 and 12 you have even more chances to earn Medallions! You can earn one extra Pet Medallion a day when you see the floating Pet Medallion in Webkinz World and click on it!

Where can you find your Pet Medallions?
Pet Medallions don’t appear in your Dock but it’s easy to see how many you’ve collected. Just open your ‘My Pets’ window and you’ll find a new tab called ‘Medallions’. Medallion pets appear here, along with a meter showing how many Medallions you have collected toward each pet, as well as the total number of Medallions required for each. You can click on each pet for information about its PSI and PSF.

How do you adopt a pet using Medallions?
When you’ve earned enough Medallions to adopt a pet, the meter beneath that pet will change to an ‘Adopt’ button. Just click the button and you will be taken to the Adoption Center and complete the adoption process as you would for any Webkinz pet.

Are Pets adopted using Medallions the same as regular Webkinz Pets?
Just like any Webkinz pet, a Medallion pet comes with its own Pet-Specific Item and Pet-Specific Food, and it behaves like any other pet in Webkinz World. It makes Pet Requests and has Happiness, Hunger, and Energy meters that need to be filled to help increase your Family Score. The only difference is that pets purchased using Medallions do not extend your Full Membership.

Which Pets can you adopt using Pet Medallions?
There are currently twelve pets which can be adopted using Pet Medallions, including two brand new pets that can only be adopted using Medallions! Each pet has a unique Medallion value – the rarer the pet, the more Medallions you’ll need. The pets are:

- Calico Cat
- Cheeky Monkey
- Clydesdale
- Gargowl
- Signature English Spot Bunny
- Signature Normande Cow
- Stone Lion
- Tigerlily Pup
- Rainbow Googles NEW!

i notice a cheeky monkey is on the list. i already got a cheeky monkey though. what do i do with the pet medallions i get for it?
Save 10 and trade it for a random one. :)
You can either trade sets of ten cheeky monkey medallions for any pet medallions that can go towards any pet on the list you like, or you can adopt another cheeky monkey.
I’ve always wanted this! However, I’m betting It’ll be really hard to actually get a pet from it. Still, it’s going to be a lot of fun! :)
i never win i would love to have the bunny and the cow
I have been playing in the arcade for a while now and haven’t gotten any tokens. I completed the easy level polar plunge (received the trophy), I have gotten several high scores in zingoz pop, and I’ve reached over 300,000 points for zingoz zangoz. Is there a glitch or something? I was really excited for this, but there really aren’t instructions on just how “well” you have to play these games. :/
I love this new concept, but I do have a few concerns. I understand that these free pets should take some work to get, but that said, I think there should be a definite way to get these medallions. I have played quite a bit in the arcade and gotten some pretty high scores and 5 “boxes” today. However, I did not get a single medallion from these boxes. Instead I just got 2 chairs, a rug, and two kinzcash coins worth 50 kinzcash each. If I’m going to spend all this time playing games, I rather have a medallion at the end of my effort than a 50 kc coin that really isn’t worth much. Issues aside, I think this new idea is really cool and I am looking forward to hopefully being able to eventually save up for some of these amazing pets. I really appreciate the variety of pets you’re making available and I’d have to say the rainbow googles is my absolute favorite. I played some more tonight and after finishing all the possible levels of Crafty Canaries I didn’t even get a “box” and got another rug from playing Hoppy Little Rocketship. What do we actually need to do to get a medallion? Could you put out a list of the scores needed in the games to get a “box” because I’ve finished Crafty Canaries before and gotten a box but not always.
One other question, does the score needed to get a “box” change every time you play a game? I played a game once and got a box, but when I played it again and got an even higher score I didn’t get anything.
It doesn’t change–it’s just random. When you get a high enough score, there is a chance that you will earn a box that could contain a medallion.
I scored highly on a bunch of games but I didn’t get any prizes. How do you get them?
Why is there only 1 game to earn medallions on? There should be over 3 like in the picture.
There are a bunch of games that you can use for medallions–any game with a red gift box icon on it. Browse the arcade and find one that you like. :)
This looks great! I think it would take a long time to get some of the pets but I guess after all it is supposed to be a challenge. Thanks for this update, free pets (sorta)! Yay!
Is there a designated level that you need to reach before you are considered eligible to randomly receive a prize which might be a pet token? I have played some of the prize box games which I enjoy, do tolerably better at, and which I made it to levels in the middle to upper teens, but only received one prize which was a cash coin. Also how many floaty clicky pet coins can we receive per day. I have only seen and clicked on one. I think this is cool but I’m trying to figure out the rules of play and not get discouraged. ♪♫LadyBeauty♪♫
Okay Ganz, this is way too hard. And the new game? We need to earN way more kinzcash! And I haven’t earned ONE MEDALLION. Some people can’t get very far on games! Sorry I’m getting a little mad, but at least tell us how many points you need to win one!!!!
This isn’t working out for me… I am NOT GOOD at Arcade games! Can you earn different medallions on the same game?

I felt the same way you did about the kinzcash level in the game, but once you get going, it becomes really easy to earn kinzcash. I usually earn 90 at least now.
