Log In Issues for Webkinz Classic Resolved

UPDATE: Thank you for your patience — the issue has now been resolved. Your Desktop App should update the next time it launches — if it does not, please download it from webkinz.com again and re-install.

We are aware of the security message players are receiving when loading the Desktop App, however there has been no security breach and your accounts are safe.

Our technical team is currently working on a fix for the login issues. We appreciate your patience. The mobile app is not affected by this issue, so you can still log in to your accounts that way.

I was able to install the update without a hitch. My sister has still not been able to install it. We have deleted & downloaded a new app several times. When she tries to sign on it does not complete the installation of the app. We are not complaining but just want you aware some may still have issues.

Are you deleting or uninstalling? If you have Windows, make sure you’re going to Settings -> Apps and uninstalling

I have uninstalled and deleted. The updated version seems to install. It’s when she actually tries to log in the wizard setup box comes on screen and starts downloading and after a few seconds it stops and nothing. It shows update 100%.

OK, fresh start. Uninstall the app, restart your computer, go to webkinz.com with a different browser than you usually do, download a fresh copy and install that version.

Ok, we have now tried with three different browsers; Google, Microsoft Edge & Foxfire. I did notice when we were trying to install with Foxfire a small message box appeared on the screen saying this type of file can be harmful to the computer. This leads me to believe the problem is on our end. I am not tech savvy and no idea how to change this setting. I want to THANK YOU Sally for hanging with us in trying to get this issue resolved!

That’s pretty normal for it to warn whenever you download an .exe — it’s safe to download from webkinz. If it’s stuck on the updating screen (which it has been for some people), you may have to let it run for a while

THat should have read we got the error message with Microsoft Edge instead of Foxfire.

I have redownloaded the application and every time I try to open it, it says no update found and won’t move

Probably some computer whiz kid wanting to cause problems. Thank YOU Ganz Team for resolving the problems.

Thank you for getting it fixed. I had to uninstall and reinstall but I got it working. I’m a complete inner workings computer dummy and had it written down from when computer fixit shop man helped me install and uninstall earlier in Jan. It worked and all ok in my world again. I’m retired and would be horrendously long days for me if didn’t have Webkinz Classic to play with. Thank you, Ganz.
