Wow! We got an amazing response from our players in our ‘Design a Ski Resort’ Contest! While it was a tough decision, we have narrowed the list down to 10 finalists, who will each receive a set of Snowmanland Wallpaper and Flooring from Ganz eStore.
Now we want to hear what YOU think of the finalists! While the final decision will be up to the Webkinz Creative Team, we will take your comments into consideration when making our decision. The winning designer will receive a Room Design Trophy and the 2018 Super Deluxe Item – the Half-Pipe!

These rooms are jaw-dropping excellent! Every single room featured is so well constructed, and so beautiful. In no particular order, I want to comment a bit on each room. “Switerzkinz” made me smile! Great job, Autumn. Love the buildings you chose to create your room. It’s very realistic! I’ve been to the actual Switzerland–and you did a a great job recreating my memories! LOL. Emerald: your Alpine Ski Resort looks soooo relaxing! (clearly, this is where the wealthy Webkinz vacation!) So neat the way you places the chairs around the firepit, so cozy and soothing, yet you still brought a lot of movement to the room with your Kinz, skiing and skating. LalasCrafts4acure: I love the way you used the ice flooring as the focal point of your room. When I look at your room, I feel as if I’m in a plane, looking down on it. So neat! Just 4Fun: Such a beautiful outdoor scene: your pets on the ski lift is a stand out because they are traveling away from the screen; and I think that’s a really unique way to use the ski lifts. Mynoey2: Your Ice House gives me the sense of adventure–as if perhaps your pets are not necessarily on a vacation, but maybe doing some sort of important exploration work. It’s very mysterious and interesting! Matoaca114: Your room is so sweet and fun; really well done how you used the tiles and the tubes! fermanagh: Your use of the buildings and the way you placed pops of purple so expertly throughout your room is gorgeous! McField and PalsForever: I love your Chalets! McField: You used all my favorite items! LOL I love the way you were able to use Jumbleberry items, the leather sofas from Wish Factory, and that gorgeous medieval chest to create an amazing chalet room: Great job! PalsForever: Awesome use of the cafe fireplaces, and I love the way you brought a sense of the outdoors into an indoor room. VioletsandGrace: It’s like a reindeer retreat! Adore the mountainous wallpaper to create your design! And the way you tucked the building in between the expert ski slopes. My comments do not do any of these rooms justice, but I had to take the time to congratulate each of you on your stunning designs. It was such a pleasure to view each of them.
Congrats to all the finalists, nice rooms! I think the one by Matoaca114 is so different and so clever! The stairs up to the hill top, the floor tiles, the inner tubes… so well thought out and fun! It’s my favorite for sure!
Really disappointed to see mostly outdoor rooms I was under the impression using the chalet walls and floors would be showcased a bit more since there was no general guidelines for contest had I known I would have definitely sumbitted an outdoor room versus one using the chalet floors and walls

I agree. At first I was going to submit my outdoor ski resort but then I read a comment and got confused and thought it was the indoor chalet they were looking for. Congrats to the 10 finalists. These rooms are awsome. The first and second designs are my favourite. I love the way they look with the backgrounds. I wish I could have a background like that. Not sure where they got them from.
Hi Ajoy65, those are wall papers & flooring from the estore.. The one I used for my Alpine Ski Resort is called Glacial Mountain & it’s in the estore right now. I don’t know the name of the wall paper Autumn & VioletsandGrace used for their rooms, but I think it’s awesome & I’m on a quest to find it!
Very cool! I wanted to enter in. :( But it said I was pushing the limits. :( Hopefully it wont do it again. Congrats finalists!!!! Hope you enjoy your snowman land wallpaper and flooring!!!
YES. I had the same problem. I ended up using some sketchy website to make my image smaller. It took forever to sort that out and we shouldn’t have to do that so I hope they fix it. Sorry you weren’t able to enter :(
cottoncandykayla, and moonkey115: Sorry you both were unable to enter; it’s too late for contest, but never too late to share your rooms! Personally, I’d love to see both of your rooms. Maybe take a screen shot of them and submit to Room Designs? At least that way you can share your creativity with all of us on WKN.
I really liked Mcfields design as it has a nice warm feeling to it. Like i just came in off the ski lift and am ready to warm up by that fireplace! I also like VioletsandGrace’s design as it looks like its a resort hidden up in the mountains! Good luck guys!
