Meet the New Plush Pets!

They’re on the way! Four new Webkinz plush pets are headed to stores this summer! You’ve already had a sneak peek of these adorable plush pets. Here’s your first look at the virtual avatars and the Pet Specific Items (PSI) and Pet Specific Foods ((PSF) that come in every pet’s giftbox in each game.

Each of these gorgeous plush comes with two codes for virtual avatars, one for Classic and one for Next. And in Webkinz Next, every pet also comes with 3 Sparks that you can combine with your other pets’ Sparks to spark adorable Webkinz babies! Webkinz Next babies grow up into kids, then adults with giftboxes of their own!

The Asian Elephant is a big pet with a big heart! The elephant’s beautifully Ornate Chai Serving Table will add exotic flair to your pet’s home, and the Pachyderm Pakora is enough to fill a BIG appetite!

The Enchanted Unicorn dazzles with brilliant color and its Majestic Castle Slide makes a stunning and fun addition to its home! And nothing refreshes this unicorn like its vibrant Magical Melon Medley.

If it’s a properly polite pet you’re looking for, the English Cream Retriever brings a touch of Old Blighty to Webkinz with its charming English Garden Fountain. And when the retriever is feeling peckish, the Strawberry Cream Puff is truly this pet’s cup of tea!

Falling in love with the gorgeous Northern Giraffe is not a tall order. The giraffe’s Towering Acacia Room Divider brings the Savannah home to Webkinz and its Tasty Acacia Tea goes a long way to hitting the spot when this giraffe needs a treat!

These four beautifully crafted plush pets are on their way to stores and will be arriving later this summer! Be sure to follow us on social media for updates and check our Store Locator to find a retailer near you!

Are they coming out at the beginning or end of August?

I just picked up all four of them today at my local children’s hospital! Shout out to my new friend Becky who messages me as soon as they arrive and puts them aside for me! ~punk4life~

Would y’all send more of the Bay Horse and the Unicorn to TN stores? There’s a ton of horse people out here and those will get / are getting snapped up so fast!

    • Dolan says:

It’s actually up to the individual stores to order the inventory they think they can sell, so you should speak to whomever is in charge of that for your local store. The place I get them from only orders four of each because they don’t want too much inventory overstock and they still have quite a few of the older releases leftover.

These pets are so cute. I like how they are looking like the original webkinz. They look like the real pet.

did you guys reuse the original next unircorns horn for this one’s horn? is that why it can’t be gold? i feel like this unicorn’s horn should be different. :(

The Next Asian Elephant is amazing – I love the textures, and it’s items are fantastic! Kudos to the design team! This gen of plushies is such a nice nod to the earlier webbies, and I think that we are all so thankful. I have a question/request. When I first saw the Enchanted Unicorn plushie, all I could think of was how he reminded me of “rainbow sherbet”, with all of those creamy pale pastels. That was the name I was going to choose, actually, but now that I see the Next avatar, I am scrambling for a new, more fitting name. (The Classic version can definitely still be “Rainbow Sherbet”) My question is: is it possible to tweak the Next avatar to lighten the fur and make it closer to the plushie? Could you also match the golden horn? Thank you for making the world a happier, more colorful place by sharing your talents with the webbie community!

I also have an art question (maybe for Erik?): sometimes the art for the PSI is really close between the Next and Classic versions (like the items for the Northern Giraffe), but sometimes there are changes (like the two fountains for the English Cream Retriever). Is that just a stylistic choice that the artist makes, or is there a technical reason? (I was wondering if some things just don’t carry over as well to Classic, but I am not tech savvy, or artistically talented, so I really have no idea, which is why I’m asking.) :-D

I really like how realistic the elephant looks for next. I also love its item. I love the face of the English cream retriever on next, it’s very pretty. I’m excited to see the traits breakdown.

These are so cute! I think the elephant is my favorite, but I also love the unicorn’s rainbow fur!

It does seem weird that the plush unicorn has a golden horn but not the virtual pet counterpart in Next. That said, I love the elephant and hope to find one. I don’t care for the cream retriever in Next either so weird looking but the chocolate lab is also pretty ugly in Next (no offense meant, I have one and the plush is adorable just stating my opinion about the virtual pet).

I like the elephant and giraffe. I HEAVILY dislike the texture of the cream retrievers fur on the Next model — it reminds me of shredded wheat or toothbrush bristles. I can’t imagine it will look good with clothing considering any small bits of fur on other models in Next clip badly. I really, really dislike how off the colors are on the Next model for the Unicorn. The plush is very soft and rainbow and pastel – and the model is NOT pastel and majority blue and purple. It needs more pink and yellow – and why is the horn and the eyes not gold like the plush? :( We already have a unicorn in Next with a silver horn by default. I also dislike how wide/thick her snout is – I was hoping it’d be more like the Bay Horse – and how her nostrils don’t look like nostrils but just dents in clay.
