Once again we had a fantastic response to our pet design contest! So good in fact, that it took us a little longer to select the finalists than we originally anticipated.
Of course it’s always difficult to narrow down the list to just 10 finalists. When looking at your entries, we try to judge not necessarily on artistic skill but on which pets would make a great addition to Webkinz Classic. Having said that, we do want to give a shout out to MMTaffyM who took the extra step of creating a plush version of their pet!
Now that we have made our selections, we want to hear from you! From February 15 to 17, visit the Contest page in Webkinz Newz to cast your vote for your favorite design.
We’ll announce the winning pet on Friday, February 19, 2021!

Thank you to everyone who liked my Chocolate Dragon! I’ve never entered one of these contests before and I was surprised to be a finalist! I’ve also made plush versions of the Webkinz Griffin and the Magical Hippogriff.
That’s really cool that you made other pets too! I love everything dragon and reptile related and I think your dragon is so awesome! I hope yours gets made into a pet but I have to agree everyones pets look amazing!

I love all these designs! I wish that Webkinz would use all of the designs from these contests, since they could use ideas for more unique animal types. I entered the contest but I will not vote because I like them all!
If I had to pick just one, I would have to choose the Chocolate Dragon. I just love it!

These are all really creative, but didn’t Webkinz already release a Capybara virtual pet a few years ago? I believe it was only available for a short time, maybe as promotional but not available to purchase separately.
Lol, I only make pets that webkinz HASNT made yet. There are a few pets it can be mistaken for but there isn’t a capybara pet at the moment. I like to try to get ahead of the pet making game :D

I’m loving the Capybara and Bubblegum Alpaca designs so much, they just bring so much serotonin to my brain. The Chocolate Dragon plush that was made with the sprite is also just super cute. Congrats to everyone who got in the final 10, they’re all really good pets.
Thank you! I made the plush back in 2019 and then when I saw this contest I thought he would be perfect so I spent all night on the computer drawing the avatar and the PSF and PSI.
My grandson likes the Bubblegum Alpaca as well! I was STUNNED when I saw the little plush toy, plus the layout of everything that goes with it like the PSI and PSF! That is top notch work there!
