Since last summer, we have announced the retirement of close to 80 Webkinz plush pets. These were very popular plush designs which had been completely sold out of our warehouse, with no plans to ever make more. Congratulations to all the players who managed to add one of these rare pets to their collection!
We would like to let everyone know that we will not be retiring any more plush pets this summer, but we will be continuing our retirement program in the fall, at a less frequent rate. Throughout the past year we were announcing a new retirement close to every week. This will be reduced to approximately once a month, with a special retirement event EVERY week for those who have a registered retired pet on their account.
We also apologize for all the Webkinz Guinea Pig owners who were unable to play the Counting Sailboats game on Saturday July 5th. We will be rescheduling this game for Guinea Pig owners on Saturday August 9th. Good luck counting those sailboats and looking for prizes!

Ganz was falling behind on their retirements. When you think about it, they can’t make hundreds of different types of Webkinz. At some point, if you want new ones, you have to retire old ones. ~Orcaholic

I agree. Since I’ve been checking every monday for the retired pet that’s on my list to get. I see the kind that’s not on my list and some that are on my list. I’m keeping tracked of these things.

I agree with the sea pets idea. And 20Rainbow07, I know; the number of dogs being released is outrageous, and it’d probably be nice if Ganz didn’t release as many.
why is everybody against thre new puppies!?! they are so cute and small now! i mean when i got my music and dance pup i was SO supprised! she is SO tiny and SO cute!!!! and the sea pets isnt a good suggestion if you want it realistic, IT SHOULDNT BE IN A BUBBLE!!! oh and i know that playnowpuppy would want the puppies to be reduce that would be just sad… oh and skykimi too! she and i live for dogs

Hi Lisamairie I love puppies so I’m with u I think they are adrable yes kinz has made a lot of them but there hasn’t really been a new one recently other than the Cheer pup so why get so mad about right?

Basically we fell behind in our pet retirements and were trying to catch up. There’s no specific type of pet we retire, it’s just that if they’re retiring, it means they were all sold out in our warehouse. I guess that means the retiring pets are the most popular!
