I wanted to thank everyone who left us feedback for the first set of Trick or Treat Street concept drawings. I read over each comment and was really impressed with your suggestions. There was a lot of focus on the Halloween homes, in particular, the colors and look & feel of each home. I really like how the concept drawing for the costume shop turned out (you’ll see it in this post). I think that we will model the homes to match the look and feel of the shop, but still keep the bright colors that were used for each one. This way, they will look less “haunted” but remain colorful and feel as though they belong in a charming neighborhood. In any case, I really like the suggestion of triggering a doorbell sound effect and having your pet say “Trick or treat!” when you click on each home.
Now, I’d like to share the concept drawings for the second half of the Trick or Treat room theme. Please leave your feedback in the comments section below. Tell us what you like or don’t like about each item or how you would make them better. Just like before, we will be reading each comment carefully and take all your suggestions into consideration:
Here’s another look at the bench that will be including in the theme. Don’t worry, “Halloween” will be spelled correctly on the final item:
Here is the costume shop I was referring to earlier. The shop will be 3 tiles in length, so there won’t be any gaps along your yard if you decide to add a door to the room:
The idea behind this tree is that it will change slightly when you rotate it. 3 of the rotations will feature unique Halloween decorations and the last one will simply be a plain, fall colored tree that could be used for any type of room design:
I really like how this white picket fence turned out. The expressions on each of the jack-o’-lanterns faces are priceless:
Finally, here’s a look at the novelty gravestone that you’ll be able to use to decorate your front lawns. Similar to the tree, this item will also change slightly when rotated in room:
How do you think this theme is coming along? Let us know in the comment section below and stay tuned for your first look at the final items that will be modeled in 3D. I plan on showing the first half on Saturday, August 31st…
please add a pumpkin decoration that gets “carved into a new face every time your pet clicks on it. Each rotation will reveal a new pumpkin face.
Yess yaayy, these look pretty awesome for a spooky time of a year, hehe! ^^ I especially love the costume shop, the fences (which look pretty adorable with little pumpkins on it), and the grave which I think is such a nice touch! ^-^
I think you guys should add a costume rack similar to the one already in the game but have Halloween costumes on it instead like zombies, witches or bees.
@Uniplays I agree! It’d be so cute to have some pumpkins! Maybe where you rotate it, it will change to different Jack ‘o’ lantern faces. Maybe one could be like, sloppy, one be pretty good and one is amazing! As well as some being able to light up! Love this idea!
yes, Yes, YES!!!!!!! You listened, you actually listened! It’s not exactly how I pictured it, but it is getting closer. Great job! I love the new items! The fence and the tree are perfect – I can hardly wait to see the other rotations! The bench and the tree will look great together in a central park area where the neighborhood kids can be gathering for a party. As I mentioned in my last comment when you showed us the first concept drawings, I am still hoping for a festive pinata swinging from a tree that dispenses candy when clicked on, or at least eventually breaks all over the ground purely as a decoration. Then it could reset. Also, is there already an item in WW that could be used for bobbing for apples? If not, please keep that in mind for the future. The cute little ghost with the gravestone will make a nice decoration. Was there something else like it released in the past? The costume shop is quaint and tastefully decorated. I agree with another comment posted here – could the mannequins in the front window be dressed in the latest Halloween fashions? I love the shadows and I hope that you are able to keep them in the final version. Keep up the great work!
If it’s true that the houses would match the costume shop, that would make me very happy! :D I love the costume shop, it looks very cute and charming. I also love that tree, it has such a pretty shade of orange. (To be truthful, I love all the items shown in this concept art. XD) Thank you, Michael and Ganz!
The Art Team is doing a great job, I did not think I would like this theme, but can hardly wait till it is out!!
I LOVE the tree & the fence!!! I like the use of color in the trick or treat street theme to give variety from the previous haunted themes. I have always thought it would be neat if we could click on a house or building like the costume shop and houses and open a room then we could design to be the actual shop. It would be nice if there was a way to incorporate the Trick or Treat Door from the eStore into the theme, too.
Love the look of this theme…especially this second group of items!
Are you going to have a floating ghost giving out Halloween items (candy or costume) in October?
Definitely liking these items! Would love to see the costume shop AND the halloween houses both, that way we would get the variety of the different shapes and styles.
