This video is brilliant. It’s well voiced, well paced and all of the books are well summarized and presented. Even as an adult I tend to prefer books and series of books that are for younger readers. They just seem to be more interesting. Personally, the Redwall series and the Narnia Chronicles are still my all time favorites.

    STILL CAN’T PLAY !!!

I recommend Lester’s Great Adventure by JUlie M.Dobson.

I am almost done with the Narnia series. I just need to read “The Last Battle” and I’ll be done. :P I have a lot of other books I like, but I’m mostly into poems.

The narnia books are awesome!! I’ve read them all, they are so good! :)

If you like the Narnia books, maybe you would like The Hobbit? I’ve read it three times, and it never stops being awesome! I don’t know as much about poetry, but Shel Silverstein usually makes me laugh! Which poets do you like?

Hi Beckinz, Your reading list suggestions were fantastic; all such great books! And I agree with you about Shel Silverstein. (Although The Giving Tree always makes me cry…) But I’ve read and own every single one of Silverstein’s books. He was great. I always recommend Robert Frost to people who like poetry. His work seems to resonate with everyone, regardless of age or gender.

Hi @animalsmatter1! I’m glad to meet a fellow fan of Shel Silverstein! I had to memorize a couple of his poems for school (“Band-Aids” – complete with props for the presentation – I had to be careful how they were stuck on! “Hug o’ War” – which is one of my favorites! “Yipiyuk”, complete with illustration – that was hysterical, because I don’t draw very well, but I think that I surprised myself, because it wasn’t too bad!) Now I’ll have to try some Robert Frost, because you have made me curious. Thanks!!

        The Hobbit sounds cool!

        • Beckinz8 says:

So cool! The book is way cooler than the movie, imo, and the movies were awesome, so the book is beyond awesome. (Or as Rhino from “Bolt” says, “B-awesome!”)

    I recommend Pony Pals

Thank you for the book review, LovelyKittyKinz. I’d add the Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage.

Little Women! I love that book!

    • Beckinz8 says:

Yes! Agreed! Everyone should read Little Women! While I’m at it, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and Huckleberry Finn are worth a read too! And there’s always Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, which you should definitely read before watching modern movie remakes of this story (“Muppet Treasure Island”, Disney’s “Treasure Planet”). So many good books, so little time! :D

Fantastic video, LovelyKittyKinz!! It’s not only adorable (you did such a great job with this), but very interesting. Thank you for your book ideas. I love to read; it’s one of my favorite things to do! Agree with tnicequeen: those recommendations are excellent. Also, try “A Wrinkle in Time” if you haven’t already read that. And I think a lot of people would enjoy “The Hobbit.” Also, for those who are interested: books on design, art, crafts, cooking, sports, history, science, animals—there is a book for everyone’s interest. I buy most of my books on Amazon; the prices are great, and the selection is just about endless. I’ve always thought someone should write a book about Webkinz! I’m surprised no one has done that yet. I’d love to read a book about the history of Webkinz, with a collector’s guide, fan and Creative team interviews, and some behind the scenes on how you bring our pets to life. Mandy: I think you and Michael should do it! (lol–’cause y’know: it’s not like you guys aren’t busy enough. lol) Happy reading, everyone.

I recently read The Hobbit not to long ago and I loved it, its a great book!

    • Beckinz8 says:

Yes! The Wonderful World of Webkinz : Through the Years – A Fifteenth Anniversary Edition. Boy, Michael and Mandy had better buckle down – they have less than a year to get their book ready to roll out on the market! ;)
