NEW! Hardwood And Dirt Recipes!

Have you been collecting Harwood from your Maple Tree and Dirt from your harvested crops? Great news! We’ve just added a bunch of Hardwood and Dirt recipes to the Wish Boutique. Now there’s tons of new items to craft and collect.

How can you get started on building these items? Just follow these steps!

1. Visit the Wish Boutique

Recipe cards can be purchased from the Wish Boutique with Wish Tokens.

The Wish Boutique is located in the Curio Shop.

2. Visit your Craft Table or Carpenter’s Bench

Once you purchase a recipe card, it will be stored at your Craft Table or Carpenter’s Bench.

Build bricks and brick items at the Carpenter’s Bench. Create clay and clay items at the Craft Table.

3. Collect Materials from your harvested crops and maple tree

If you’re wondering how to collect dirt and hardwood, don’t worry, it’s easy!

To collect Dirt, purchase some Growing Plants from the W Shop and plant them in your garden. Once you’ve harvested them ten times, they will yield Dirt. Then, Dirt will be stored with your materials, and you can use it to craft clay and brick items.

To collect Hardwood, make sure to complete the Home Away From Home challenge. Plant your Maple Tree in your yard and it will yield one piece of Hardwood each day. Collect the Hardwood, and it will be stored with your materials until you’re ready to create an item from the Hardwood collection.

The Wish Boutique refreshes its items once a week so, keep checking back for new recipe cars. Which one are you most excited to collect?

I’ve had no luck getting NEXT to run on my laptop while I’ve been traveling, and really no time to see if I can get it set up right. I will for certain be buying the recipe cards (I knew that there was a reason that I was saving them!), and the first one I want to make is that fireplace! I LOVE fireplaces! I have plans for these wonderful pieces!

Hi @megamom12! I’m sorry that you are not able to connect while traveling. I love fireplaces too, so that was one of the first recipe cards that I snapped up. Please make sure to allow yourself at least 30 minutes to craft it if you are going to do it in one sitting. You need to craft 234 soil into clay, and then craft the clay into 25 bricks, and then finally craft the fireplace. I imagine building a real one to be only slightly more difficult. LOL!

So far I have built the Hardwood Shelf, the Brick Fireplace, and the Hardwood Rocking Chair. I bought the rocking chair recipe because I love rocking chairs, and was very sad to find out that this one does not rock. :-(

Ahh thanks but no thanks. I’m likely a minority here but I hate, loathe and detest the crafting. It’s nothing more than busy work. But to those who do like it, good luck and have fun.

I am waiting until I have to do it for Season Points. Wasting tokens for a recipe card doesn’t make sense to me.

I also don’t like crafting. I do it only when it’s part of a challenge.

This just proves to each their own, right? I LOVE crafting. I wish there were so many more recipes for furniture and clothes. Lots of DIY would be awesome. And more ways to collect materials, like those vacant areas by the waterfall and the glowing mushroom cave! Again though, it’s not for everyone. Be nice if we could trade. I’d be happy to craft items and trade them!

WOW! These items are fantastic, I would love to be able to make them all. I don’t have any tokens it makes it difficult to get the recipe cards. I wish it was easier to earn some tokens, earn 2 tokens/week when logging in, lucky to land on one spinning the Wheel of Wow and your fortunate if you are awarded one from the fortune teller.

    • Alphaowlbear says:

I agree, bonesbongo. The new recipe cards are great additions and I’m happy to have a way to use my accumulated dirt and hardwood, but I am very disappointed that the recipes cost tokens- why not as part of a challenge or just for kinzcash? I’ve been trying to save up tokens for the hot air balloon and scooter but it’s slow going. Best wishes!

      • gabbyella says:

I agree. I was so surprised when I realized I wiped out my wish tokens before I could by some of the items I really wanted! It’s going to be a long wait before I have enough!

    • BoulderPrarieHome says:

I agree, 10, 15, 20 tokens are too many for one recipe card. 5 tokens seems like the correct price when it is so hard to get tokens. Especially when 50 tokens buys a hot air balloon.

I’d love to get some of these recipes cards, but I can’t even get enough wish tokens to purchase anything. I’d really hate to squander the few I have on recipe cards.

    • KarenaJ says:

I feel that. I think it’s a shame you have to purchase them at all. Why couldn’t they just be added automatically, since we have to save up materials anyways? I don’t mind working for recipe cards through challenges- wish that was the case with these.

I love wooden furniture so much! I just wish I was able to send it to classic. :( But I am so happy for all of you who are able to get it on next!

I have a random question, but I just adopted a blue whale and got a water room for her, but it isn’t doing the light ray/wave effect on the floor. Is there a reason for this and can it be fixed?

  8. cowbox says:

Are any of them transferable to classic?

  9. 11auntie says:

Is there a second tree that yields a recipe ingredient? I seem to remember reading about it when I was browsing Next threads to see what is was all about before it finally became available to Mac desktop. I think the ingredient was honey or something similar.

  10. _xPho3nyxblade318x_ says:

Nice. Love that platter and fireplace. Wish it was on Classic.

    • Beckinz8 says:

I agree! Maybe someday they will be able to be sent to Classic. Although with as long as it took me to make all of the clay, and then make all of the bricks, I don’t know if I have the energy to make another fireplace. LOL! I can’t wait for the rocking chair, lamp, side table and wood pile recipes. I have never been so eager for my crops to hurry up and die. LOL!!!! Well done Ganz design artists!
