We are adding 5 new prizes to the SPREE mall on July 2! Save up your mall credits… you’ll want to use them to trade for 3 new homes you can add to the border of your yard, a new pet buddy and a designer purse that your pet can wear.
We had originally announced that we were going to release a second pet buddy, however due to a design update, it will be released at a future date.
When was the last time you made it to the mall during a game of SPREE? You still have time to pick up the Gold Leaf Coffee Table and Electric Keyboard before they are removed on July 2, to make room for the new items:
Play SPREE at the Webkinz Arcade and use the credits you collect to trade for prizes when you make it to the mall!

I got the electric keyboard under the impression that it is an interactive item but it doesn’t do anything! Was I just mistaken??
That’s happening with a lot of animated items, actually. The baby monitor doesn’t work, the log ride from Ganz eStore doesn’t work either.

You’re right, gmb123. I wish they’d tell us that it doesn’t work. I picked one up a couple of weeks ago because I saw it was retiring, and am greatly disappointed that it doesn’t work. I even looked it up before buying and an old Newz post said it SHOULD work… but it doesn’t anymore.

guineapigluver GANZ had an episode a month ago showing the first set of new items and they mentioned the retired items after they forgot to post those in the video

Well…sorry to say I really don’t care for these new Spree prizes. The houses are nice, but unless they are Christmas or Halloween buildings, I just don’t care for them. BUT…I know there are many players who love designing with these buildings, so it’s good to have them. Not impressed with the purse or the two Pet Buddies either. Maybe they will look better than what the art work above is showing. Hate to see the Gold Leaf Coffee Table go. It’s really pretty. Maybe it will show up in Arte’s Curio Shop at this same price. :-) The Electric Piano is “okay”, just not one of my fave Spree prizes. I think it would be awesome if the Spree Prizes were retired Room Theme items, like Ancient Egypt, Aztec, Ancient Civilization, and so on. I would be more likely to play Spree everyday if they had prizes that I really wanted. I’m just really not motivated to want to play Spree everyday. Besides, getting to The Mall takes forever, even with the 3 Free Rolls a day.
While it would be really awesome if the prizes were retired room themes, it would significantly reduce their value and would upset a lot of players. It’s already being done with them adding priceless clothing items to wheels.
FoxesRule612, I get what you’re saying about the retired room themes, but I think it’s a little unfair to newer Webkinz Players that have a hard time even finding a rare item. Granted, some of them show up in the Curio Shop, which is great. Maybe if Webkinz would do a once a year “Rare Prize Wheel”? That way older Webkinz Players could add to their rare collections and newer players, like me, could add to or start a new rare collection. Maybe that would be good for everyone? :-) Just a suggestion. :-)
Before you guys make more new pet buddies, all of the new ones made after the pet buddy contest are really glitchy in the Clubhouse. They do all of their ‘actions’ (flip, wave, roll over, etc) all at once and blink at a lightning-fast speed. It looks pretty ridiculous but on the more serious note it causes a lot of lag.
I noticed that when I started going everywhere with my pet buddies on me-it really is kind of causing a problem.
The awkward thing is the zumbuddies don’t do this. If maybe whatever code you’re using for those could be ported to all the newer ones it’d look less silly
