Next for Classic: A New Challenge!

 One World Two Games Challenge

Now that we’ve introduced sending items back to your Classic account from Next, what’s next for Classic? A new challenge! The One World Two Games Challenge unlocks in Webkinz Classic after the next release on November 17, 2021. This fun challenge gives you the chance to win some cool Webkinz Next-themed prizes while exploring the exciting features available in Next!

 One World Two Games Challenge

To send items back to Webkinz Classic, you’ll need a linked account. Linking your accounts is easy – just log into Webkinz Next using the same username and password that you already use for Classic. It’s that simple!

Your pets will love fresh fruit grown in your very own Webkinz Next garden! You can purchase a Potted Apricot Tree from the WShop in Webkinz Next under Food -> Growing Plants! Place your Potted Apricot Tree in your yard and in four days you’ll have a plump, juicy apricot to send back to Classic.

Check out the Arcade! The Webkinz Next Arcade is a fun, gathering place where pets can meet other players and chat before hitting the games! To make your visits even sweeter, you can collect a candy every day from the vending machine. Treat your pets by sending a candy from the Arcade back to Classic!

What will you make of crafting in Next? An adorable Happy Cactus Picture will make a lovely addition to your Classic home. First you’ll need a Crafting Table which you can purchase in the WShop under Furniture -> Tables. Then, there are a few ways to collect crafting materials in Next – you might find them on the Wheel of WOW, or get one as a daily login gift, and right outside the Curio Shop you’ll find a vending machine where you can collect crafting materials every day! Drag the box into your pet’s room and choose which materials you get!

To see which materials you’ll need to make your picture, just click on the Happy Cactus Picture in your Drafting Table menu. When you’ve collected enough crafting materials, make your Happy Cactus Picture.

Once you’ve grown your apricot, collected your candy and crafted your Cactus Picture, sending back to your linked Classic account is simple! Just click on the moving van in the bottom left corner of your Webkinz Next Dock, and you can send the items back to your Webkinz Classic account one at a time. When you log into Classic you’ll get a notification that your item have arrived.

Once your pets have enjoyed their apricot and candy, and you’ve found the perfect spot for your new Cactus Wall Picture, you’ll earn some awesome prizes, an adorable Ms. Biscuits plushy, a yummy Wheel of WOW cookie, and a colorful Webkinz Next poster!

We’re so excited about this new challenge that brings together One World and Two Games!

Hi Next friends! Could I trouble you for the items from Webkinz Next? Thank you in advance! :)

Are there Wshop coupons that we can use in Next? I’m trying to get some cash saved up for Christmas and coupons would help so much.

It was pretty easy to find a generous and kind Next player to send me some juice boxes to get the cornucopia, however this time they have made this challenge more involved and time consuming so it looks like each Next account will only be able to earn enough for their own Classic items. So now I am really feeling forced to have to download a program I have no interest in. Last time the answer was , just find a friend that has Next that is willing to send back the items, but with that being much less of an opportunity, what is the answer this time?

This isn’t a time-limited challenge, so the advice is still the same.

I completely agree. I am kind of annoyed with these challenges. No one even asked for Webkinz Next, why is it becoming so integrated with Webkinz Classic? I have absolutely no interest in Webkinz Next, and yet now I feel like I’m missing out by not having it. Effective marketing strategy I guess

It may be the way of a newer technology. Which is odd, because there are so many things that are making a comeback that are older versions. The graphics are extremely odd looking to me in Next. I like the simplistic nature of the Classic game version. I feel we are being forced into Next.

This is doable! Love the prizes!

The Happy Cactus wall picture and Next poster are so cute!

  9. KarenaJ says:

Oh now I get why the podkinz was reposted! Awesome!

  10. TRINSTER says:

I just don’t like the way stuff looks in Next. Plus I don’t have enough spare time to play two games. So gonna have to pass on these.

    • alucard says:

I agree with you, TRINSTER. I don’t like the way things look in Next either. My problem is I just don’t like Next. I’ve tried…many times, to give it a chance. It’s just not for me. I also don’t care for the “two worlds, two communities” push. It feels forced, to me. But, the main reason I don’t play Next is because of time. I don’t want to spend hours and hours on my computer. Webkinz Classic is for relaxing and fun, not playing challenges ALL the time!

    • gml1939 says:

Well said. I feel the same. I have spent thousands of hours and thousands of dollars, literally, in the 13 years I have lived in Webkinz World. Just do not have the money or the time for 2 games. And to be truthful, the pets in Next, compared to the pets in Classic, are not even cute! Sorry :-(

    • Ndume2004 says:

I couldn’t agree more. I don’t like that they’re trying to push Next on us. I’ve been playing Webkinz for 14 years and it takes enough of my time and energy. I love it to pieces and would never give it up, but it’s a hard NO for me when it comes to Next.

    • bobme248 says:

I agree too TRINSTER. I have to wonder if the growth and useage in Next isn’t what they hoped for. For me I spend (more than) enough time on my 3 Classic accounts. I’d rather spend the extra time getting some exercise in!

      • ruddel99 says:

I am with all of you on this subject as well. I have 3 accounts right now with the Classic version and lately it seems all things are being pushed towards us moving over to Next. I have decided not to spend any more money on Estore points or Memberships. It has been years with Webkinz and well over 1,000 pets, countless plushies…I truly enjoyed being able to come onto Webkinz and unwind with a few games and decorating my rooms. I just can no longer support it financially because I am afraid that the Classic version will not be around much longer.

        • emster7 says:

I worry about that too. :(

        • goodbirdfifi says:

Hey guys, don’t worry about that. There are more players on Classic than on Next, it wouldn’t be a smart move to eliminate the original. What I’m personally not too happy about is that the time and energy spent on Next could’ve been spent on creating new and exciting things for classic. I also don’t like the integration of the two.
