It’s Webkinz Newz week and we are kicking it off with big news about a new contest! We want you to design a new Webkinz Pet Buddy! It can be whatever you want – use your imagination!
Three winners will have their design turned into virtual Pet Buddies in Webkinz World which will be available in the summer!
The grand prize winners will receive a Pet Design Trophy, all three of the winning Pet Buddies, plus 3 months of Deluxe Membership. And all ten finalists will each receive a Spring Super Mystery Bag – courtesy of Ganz eStore!
1. Design a Pet Buddy.
2. Scan or take a photo of your design and save it as a JPG or PNG file.
3. Upload the file to the Pet Buddy Design Contest Gallery on the Share Center any time between April 16 and May 13, 2018.
4. Come back on May 18 to see if your pet buddies is one of ten finalists, and on May 31 to see the three Grand Prize Winners!

If I put a thing of webkinz’s property, Lets say wacky, would that get me disqualified?
I tried uploading my image multiple times for two days, but all I get is a message saying that the photo would be reviewed. I checked the size, dimension, and even the file extension, and I’m seeing no result. Is there anything I need to do, or anyone I need to talk to ?
Even when I check all of my submissions, my image isn’t even showing.

May I suggest that the Share Center change their rating system from 1-5 or 1-8 instead of 1-10. It just seems no one gets above 5′s too much anymore and leaves too much room for sabotage. Closing the gap would really make it easier to see how people feel about a design or idea, not that the rating opinions mean that much with the award decisions but 1-5 would be great. Thanks for your consideration.
couldnt agree more some of the ratings are literally unfair many rooms averaged from 3-5 out of ten seems odd and unfair

Um, I entered in my submission, but it didn’t work. Twice. It said because there was no image, but the second time I made sure I uploaded it, but it didn’t moderate?? Why is this? My internet connection is 100% fine, and WebkinzNewz has been having trouble loading on my end too. Is there some sort of problem?
Is there somebody who could fix this issue for me? Like Customer Service or soemthing?

Ugh!! This is so disappointing!! Now I can’t enter just because the moderation thing says I don’t have an image when I most certainly DID upload an image. =(
What file type are you uploading? Sometimes it helps to switch them up a bit.. so if it’s a PNG, save it as a JPG or vice versa.

What’s the file size on your images? If they’re too large, they won’t submit properly
My image is 2407 × 3311 pixels and is a total of 7 MB. It doesn’t say anywhere in the ShareCenter about size dimension limit, though.
That’ll do it. I’m not sure what the Share Center’s limit is, but Webkinz Newz limits file size to 200 Kb. Try resizing your image down to something no wider than a 1000 pixels. That should reduce the file size enough for it to be uploaded. If not, try with 600 pixels wide.
My thought is maybe they’re awaiting approval?
The same thing happened to me! Well … not exactly, since I would not let my image upload because It said my password was incorrect, but I solved it! Thank God.
The Scanner doesn’t work can I make my design on a computer?
You might be able to! I just drew a picture of mine, and then took a picture of it, saved it on my computer, then came here, and clicked on the pet buddy design contest gallery link. It’s pretty easy to do from there. Hope this helps! :)
