As a Webkinz collector, you work hard for your rare Webkinz items, whether they are exclusive items, event prizes or your pets’ PSIs. For this reason, it is very important that if you engage in trading these valued items, that you do so safely.
Recently, we are getting more and more reports of players trying to pull simple scams to trick players into trading their items for nothing in return. Let us be clear that such scams are not allowed and when caught, these players lose their access to KinzChat PLUS and may even lose their Webkinz account entirely.
SCAMS
SCAM 1: “I’ll send you eStore points for your item”
No they won’t. They will just take your items and you’ll get nothing. Trading for eStore points is not supported by our trading system, and it is not allowed. Report any player making this kind of offer immediately.
SCAM 2: “I’ll send you a Pet Code for your PSI”
No they won’t. It isn’t possible to send over a Pet Code anyway. And remember – Pet Codes are the keys to your account. If you use a Pet Code from someone you don’t know, they can use it to change your password and get into your account. Only ever use sealed Pet Codes, or codes directly ordered from the Ganz eStore. Report any player making this kind of offer immediately.
SCAM 3: “Give me your password and I’ll put a rare item on your account.”
No they won’t. What they will do is steal all of your rare items. This is a very common scam on other sites, including YouTube as well. If any player asks you for your password, they want to take your things. Please don’t fall for this, even if there are comments that say “This really works!”
RULES
To best protect your account and your items, please always follow these three simple rules:
RULE 1: Only trade items using our trading tables. This is the only allowable method of trading in the game. This system is secure and requires a double confirmation so you have two opportunities to make sure that you’re making the deal you want. Any other trade in the game is at your own risk and is not recommended.
RULE 2: KinzPost Gifting is not for trading. Gifting is just that, for sending gifts. If you expect something in return, it isn’t gifting. Again, see Rule 1 – only trade at the trading tables.
RULE 3: Never, ever give anyone your password. Not your cousin, not your best friend, not your classmate. Anyone who you give your password to has full access to your account and can do whatever they want on your account, including trading your items, gifting your items, or selling your items. You are responsible for everything that happens on your account, so if you gave someone access to your account, we cannot fix it if they do something that you didn’t want.
The security of your account is extremely important to us. Please use this information to keep your account and items safe, and please share this article with all of your friends who play Webkinz. The more players that know, the safer Webkinz World will be.
It would be helpful to have friend finder or trading rooms with numbers on them so you could trade with your friends. With the current system, my friends (whom I trust) and I can’t trade with each other because we can’t get in the same trading room as the room is usually full and we both can’t get in it. I got scammed out of an exclusive item. The other person clicked faster then me and took their stuff to trade out of the boxes? I ended up with nothing and they got my stuff. So beware! I felt awful, How cruel
Yes, I reported this pet many times but they come back with a different account or same account and don’t get banned it’s so tiring.. How do we control that? What do we report? Trading Problems? Thanks :D
yep! I accidentally gave my best friend my password one time when I first started but that was like 5 years ago. She asked me for my password but really meant username. She’s really nice though and never got on my account. :)
That happened to me when I was little, but it was the other way around; my friend gave me her password instead of her username. Usually, in this situation, the person who gave the password would be nervous, but I honestly think I freaked out more then she did; for some reason, I was afraid that I would accidentally type in the wrong login information and get in trouble. I was a weird kid. :P
Yeah my BFF knows my username and password but that’s only because If I’m leaving town and can’t get on my webkinz account my BFF can log on and recieve the daily Kinz care prizes :)
Thank you for going over the rules again Ganz… I started Kinz Chat Plus maybe… hmm I think a couple of months or more ago… I really have noticed scammers, one day a Skunk was offering E store points Thank goodness I did not trade with them!!! I will be on the look out… Thanks Ganz!!! lavadragon~
How do you get KinzchatPlus?
It’s really easy iloveblue :) all u have to do is 1.go to the webkinz clubhouse and click on KinzChatPlus 2. Ones u do that it will bring u to a yellow page 3. read the page and follow the instructions, note that u have to respond to the emails before u get KinzChatPlus :) hope this helps :D
I tried the other day someone said they had Gargoyle sofas. I really wanted 2 they had 4. They said they were in the FORUMS. wELL THERE IS NO “FRIEND FINDER THERE.” Maybe the FORUM ROOM HERE could get a friend finder and a tradeing room of its own. Just a thought but at least tradeing for items both would be happy and safe also ! Just a thought ;)
I still have this persons name and tried to friend them they won’t even reply so I think they may have not been above board or they were really really busy .

If you tried my ganzworld account, it’s not the same as my webkinz account. My webkinz account is pupcakes88. I was saying I needed four, two for each room, but at least two. And yes, I requested them in the forums, but I now cannot find my post!! lol!! Sorry for the misunderstanding! I wasn’t trying to trick you, honest!!! I’ve never scammed or told someone I would give them something and didn’t, ever in my life!!! Don’t be angry at me, please!! :(

I once traded my spa for these neo gothic items. And the person said they were worth thousands. And I agreed and they were worth very little. And the person would not trade them back. I was SO mad.
Well Neo Gothic items are rare items so It was probally worth it :)
GANZ!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!! I have gotten points from my friends BUT IT IS ALMOST ALWAYS!!! ALWAYS!!! A scam. Every time I enter the trading room somebody is scamming and the other person always falls for it. So sad! I am glad people can now read and understand why these are bad and not permitted. :)
