To ensure the security of all our player accounts, we have put in place a requirement that all players update their account password before logging into Webkinz World. Players will only have to do this once.
We have streamlined this process for you. When you log in with your current password, you will be given this prompt telling you to update your password:
You will be automatically taken to the Change Password:
Here you can simply enter your new password, and then again to confirm it and click Apply. You will then be taken right into Webkinz World to begin playing.
We are asking that all players use at least 8 characters for their passwords. We encourage players to use both numbers and letters in their password for added security.
UPDATE (04/24/2020): UPDATING YOUR PASSWORD ON MOBILE
- Open a web browser on your mobile device (e.g., Chrome or Safari)
- Go to webkinz.com
- Tap on the gray menu button (3 horizontal stacked lines) in the top right corner of the screen to open the menu
- Tap on “Change password” to go to the mobile Change password screen
- Follow the same steps listed in the article above
Remember, you will only have to do this once. The next time you log in, you will go right in. The security of our player accounts are of utmost importance to everyone at GANZ. We appreciate your patience with this inconvenience.

Aww this is so sad :( I’ve had the same password since my mom set my account up for me like ten years ago
I was able to change all of ours with no problem and I’m glad I did. This morning I received an email saying they knew my password and they gave my old Webkinz password and tried to blackmail me for 2000 bitcoins! Like I even know what those are! So watch out for those emails and change your passwords as soon as you can. I recommend you write them down BEFORE you change them, and copy them carefully on the website so you will have them.
WOW!! that is really scary! especially when you have an account from the beginning. *shivers* I changed all of mine yesterday as well. Let’s hope they can’t access anything anymore.
Wow, I am so sorry that happened to you. I can’t imagine how I would of reacted if i received an email like that. I just can not believe that someone decided to start hacking into peoples accounts, and during this pandemic too! I mean at least have some courtesy.. I mean im not saying its good but still.

I change all passwords yesterday as asked to – today, however one account that was working fine yesterday with new password won’t let me in. I reset again but still cannot not get into the one account. I hope I can use it again soon. Is anyone else having a problem with password that was changed yesterday? Thanks
I really didn’t want to miss a Time Capsule today but looks like that may happen on this one account.

Are you trying to change your password through the browser?
Yes but I am trying to do it on my cell phone. I don’t have a computer right now. So what do I have to do now. Every time I go into the site it says that I have to go to the website and change it there.
Right now you cannot change your password from a phone. You’ll need to email webkinzsupport@ganz.com — put “Change Password” in the subject.
I sent a email last night to you guys and nobody got back to me yet.

I noticed that as well when I tried to finish changing passwords while on break at work. I ended up hurrying home after work and finishing up before time ran out for the day. I was glad as I didn’t want to miss out on the puzzle pieces in the Time Capsules.

Hello. I changed my password and now I cannot get into Webkinz on my desktop!! Had to go back through Chrome and Flash Player. Help please!!
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Desktop App

I am so sorry that so many are have password problems. I know how frustrating that can be.I know webkinz support are really working hard to help. It is so hard to wait especially at this time of covid 19 and being locked up. I hope those who are missing the capsules and challenge can have extra time.Please keep safe and remember you are special.
I’m more frustrated it happened to me and it’s worse on me because I have OCD and am an adult but acted like a 12 year old guess my developmental delayed part makes me act like a child I went extra slow and went to my comfort place and finally recharged my password again

Aspie here. I feel this pain, missims 100. Frankly I kinda live in ‘lockdown’ as a rule. Stay home and avoid people — I’m ninja at that. But ‘change your password or else no more webkinz’…rage and trauma-inducing. *hides under bed*
This is absolutely insane. Had all the same issues as everyone else and was able to finally change the password on one account and log in, only to try to access that account later and couldn’t get in again! I tried to send a request to the parent email and never received any emails from webkinz. So I am locked out of all the accounts with no response from technical support and in the mean time we have missed out on time capsules and challenges. Is anyone home at webkinz – I was able to still use my old password to leave this message on ganzworld – I’m confused.
When I had this problem even being an adult I was overwhelmed on missing the time capsule I stayed up until 2AM and finally fixed it but I lost my sleep and that’s bad timing during the pandemic adding stress to everyone plus the account my sister has I want to get on it and change her password for her but she is not home yet and I want her permission I’m worried someone might type her username and password and then since were forced to change it they’ll change it even though it’s technically one of my accounts now she remembered her password and got on recently I’m thinking to add another deluxe account but this one will be a monthly one of my sisters account just incase this happens again because I wouldn’t be surprised hackers have nothing better to do then hack which I sometimes wish I could hack just to hack the hackers back but then I would be a hacker but it just feels I want to get revenge even though I know I shouldn’t anyone else feel that?
