Security Update: Password update required for all accounts

To ensure the security of all our player accounts, we have put in place a requirement that all players update their account password before logging into Webkinz World. Players will only have to do this once.

 

 

We have streamlined this process for you. When you log in with your current password, you will be given this prompt telling you to update your password:

 

 

You will be automatically taken to the Change Password:

 

 

Here you can simply enter your new password, and then again to confirm it and click Apply. You will then be taken right into Webkinz World to begin playing.

 

 

We are asking that all players use at least 8 characters for their passwords. We encourage players to use both numbers and letters in their password for added security.

 

 

 

 

 

UPDATE (04/24/2020): UPDATING YOUR PASSWORD ON MOBILE

 

  1. Open a web browser on your mobile device (e.g., Chrome or Safari)
  2. Go to webkinz.com
  3. Tap on the gray menu button (3 horizontal stacked lines) in the top right corner of the screen to open the menu
  4. Tap on “Change password” to go to the mobile Change password screen
  5. Follow the same steps listed in the article above

 

 

 

Remember, you will only have to do this once. The next time you log in, you will go right in. The security of our player accounts are of utmost importance to everyone at GANZ. We appreciate your patience with this inconvenience.

    Just so everyone knows, the system is throwing up SQL errors if you try using “special characters” like periods, commas, question marks, etc. I advise to change your passwords to include these once the system gets fixed to add extra security. Also, using the same password for everything is not the best idea. If you have the same password for Webkinz as something else, such as Twitter, Email, or Instagram, and your Webkinz details get leaked, everything else could get accessed.

    Is the Kinzville Mover job ever available to do as a free Webkinz account??? I’m trying to complete the Big Move challenge, but it’s kinda impossible if the Kinzville Mover job is never going to be available for people like me to play.

      Sometimes (very infrequently) it’s one of the special jobs as an hourly event, where Tabby is evidently so desperate for temps, she will hire anyone to attempt the job, ‘qualified’ or not. But that’s the only way I can try it. (Also, those extra jobs don’t seem to count unless you win at the job, even when the challenge list only requires you attempt them, grrr.) But okay I don’t know enough about free accounts to tell you if those extra jobs are open to free players, sorry. I’m stuck on the same challenge and TWO others that also require that very job, and can never advance (on a deluxe account!) because: A) I can ONLY try that job when Tabby is that desperate, and B) attempting is NOT enough no matter what it says. BUT! They announced Webkinz Day will be one of those free deluxe days, if you can try then and time it right, you could have two chances to finish. Good luck!!

      Pretty sure that in order to do the Kinzville Mover job, you need to have completed Level 2 in the Strength Class at the Kinzville Academy, which is also restricted to Full and Deluxe players only.

    I have one account that will not go thru despite my having the account for years and able to log in except now for password change. Help!

    Well, I can log into Webkinz on both my accounts now. What I CAN’T do is log onto Ganz World on my second account. I attempted to change my password on my second account. Something went wrong and now I can neither log in with my old password or the new password I tried to change to. HELP!

    I’ve been asking the same thing, haven’t heard yet. We have one account we can access andone we can’t, it’s very frustrating, especially while in the middle of a challenge and collecting the capsules, something we can’t get back.

I know that change is not easy, and you are having to help us through all of this in less than stellar working circumstances right now. Thank you for holding our hands and standing beside us.     We have one account that we cannot access after my daughter changed the password. When tried to reset it the email had two of the other accounts we have but not the the she couldn’t log into. We sent a request into customer service, but haven’t heard back yet. Will there be any way to get the time capsule for today if she is unable to log in? Just wondering. Thanks.
