Security Update: Password update required for all accounts

To ensure the security of all our player accounts, we have put in place a requirement that all players update their account password before logging into Webkinz World. Players will only have to do this once.

 

 

We have streamlined this process for you. When you log in with your current password, you will be given this prompt telling you to update your password:

 

 

You will be automatically taken to the Change Password:

 

 

Here you can simply enter your new password, and then again to confirm it and click Apply. You will then be taken right into Webkinz World to begin playing.

 

 

We are asking that all players use at least 8 characters for their passwords. We encourage players to use both numbers and letters in their password for added security.

 

 

 

 

 

UPDATE (04/24/2020): UPDATING YOUR PASSWORD ON MOBILE

 

  1. Open a web browser on your mobile device (e.g., Chrome or Safari)
  2. Go to webkinz.com
  3. Tap on the gray menu button (3 horizontal stacked lines) in the top right corner of the screen to open the menu
  4. Tap on “Change password” to go to the mobile Change password screen
  5. Follow the same steps listed in the article above

 

 

 

Remember, you will only have to do this once. The next time you log in, you will go right in. The security of our player accounts are of utmost importance to everyone at GANZ. We appreciate your patience with this inconvenience.

    Sally, I have 8 friend invitations that have not been answered, a lot are years old, can webkinz put in a limit on how long someone has to answer a friend request? I haven’t been able to add anyone myself for years

    I did not have to change my password on Ganz world. After i read what they said about security breach i changed passwords again today. got scared.

    Yesterday I attempted to change my password on my second account here on Ganz World (not on Webkinz). Now I cannot log on to Ganz World with my original password OR the password I changed it to. It has been 24 hours since I requested a password reset. A password reset should be an automated function; so why haven’t I received an e-mail to reset my password?

    In the interest of creating secure passwords, I prefer to include special characters in my password. Why is the use of special characters no longer allowed in a Webkinz account password

    How long is the wait to get some help with these password change issues? We have one account that the password is changed on bu tnot the 2nd account? It is very frustrating when it keeps saying that account information is not correct and there is nothing we can do? It keeps giving me this account to change the password but not the one I am trying to sign in on. I understand the situation we are all in, but this just makes it worse when the kids are home from school and one can access their account but not the other, and she is missing out on collecting the capsules, she has already missed 8 & 9 and will miss collecting the Prize for the Pizza place challenge as well. Talk about frustrating. Can someone please help us? We have already sent an E-mail to the support group on the first day.
