Now you can earn rewards by sharing Webkinz with your friends! Introducing the Helping Paws Club!
Get a unique code that you can send to your friends. As your friends play, you’ll earn points towards rewards. But that’s not all – the more your friends play, the more rewards you’ll earn!
How it works is simple:
- Click on the Helping Paws Club to get your unique code to share with friends. You can see the Helping Paws Club link in various places throughout Webkinz World including ‘My Pets’.
- You can either print out the code or email a link to your friends. You can send your referral code to as many friends as you like!
- When your friends create a new Webkinz account, they will be prompted to enter the code at the Adoption Center.
Please note:
- Currently, your friends need to register their accounts at webkinz.com in order to activate the code. This feature will be coming to the Webkinz Mobile App soon – watch Webkinz Newz to find out when it’s available on Mobile!
- If you emailed the link to your friends, the code will already be entered in the field when they visit the Adoption Center.
- To qualify, this code MUST be entered in the Adoption Center when a new account is created in order for you to be eligible for rewards.
The more your friends play on Webkinz, and the more friends who sign up, the higher your Helping Paws Score and the greater the rewards.
You will receive KinzPosts each week letting you know what you’ve earned that week.
Here are just a few of the amazing rewards you can earn:
Enjoy the rewards of sharing when you introduce your friends to the magic of Webkinz!
Where do we find our helping paws score? And again, can 1 friend earn you enough to get the bigger prizes – this is really like pulling teeth for information here.
This is cool! But… I can’t really do this since I don’t really have anyone to refer webkinz to :/ (can’t refer it to my friends since one doesn’t play webkinz anymore, and the other I referred to quite awhile back)
Weeelll, I can’t do this. The three friends I have either don’t have a computer, are not interested in playing online, and don’t seem to like the plushies much either. :(
I’m not sure how well this plan will work. It seems to me that people might just start multiple new accounts and refer themselves using their own codes just to get the prizes, which is not the intention of this new feature.
Well, no, sure it’s following the intent. Those are still new accounts. The goal is more more accounts/players. In order to get the coveted prizes, anyone who starts a new account is committing to maintain it, and maintaining an account means buying pets and logging on with some regularity — no matter how many accounts you already have. The cash and time to do that are the same end goal, whether they come from a genuine new player or just new accounts. Die-hard users might even be a safer bet, it’s well known some of us will apparently endure just about anything to keep our many accounts going and going strong.
Ugh. Only one *more. Gah
You don’t actually know that’s not their intention. That’s really probable intention for most for-profit companies.
I have to agree. Unfortunately it looks like this feature may be abused by people making a massive number accounts. Hopefully there will be a check system by the webkinz admins to make sure this doesn’t happen. It seems like a good feature for getting new signups but what about a loyalty program for long term webkinz players. Maybe we could have at our 1 year birthday – a few Gstore points, a unique outfit and a unique quest for our “age”. That would be neat and it would reward people for staying on Webkinz. :) And it would be nice to have rewards for adding pets to your account. i.e. 10 pets, 20 pets, etc. Or so many days of good pet care… different ways to get awards and prizes unique to that goal that encourage players to not only keep their account in good shape but take care of their pets too.
In order to earn prizes, these friend accounts have to be active — just opening an account using the code is not going to earn prizes.
How is that ‘abuse’ of the feature? Those accounts still have to be maintained and played and have new pets added if the creators want to win those prizes. The only way to do that is buy pets or buy deluxe memberships. I do agree about some sort of loyalty rewards/prize opportunities program for those of us who have played for a long time. Although technically, I see where in ways the heart-filling nuisance of whiny pet requests is sort of that. I really want the new rewards prizes, but honestly, 16 accounts is about to drive me over an edge somewhere, especially since webkinz x started. But prizes…. sigh
Heart – Filling nuisance of whiny pet requests? Well, I don’t know about nuisance or whiny, but okay…

My Mom won’t let me do this, And my one friend already plays. ;/
for totally brand new accounts or just adopting new pets?
Well, I would be getting any prizes! I’ve referred way too many people over the years. And now no one will play Webkinz now…
im going to have the same problem ~apoppy
I have the same situation as you, MidnightLuna :/
Not liking this idea at all. Not very fair to people like myself who already referred my friends to play WW years ago. Everyone who I know who was interested, has already joined and been playing for years and yet I will receive no rewards for that.
I agree!!!
So true, jsforfr and seamojo! It doesn’t seem fair for the long-term, loyal, players who have encouraged their friends to play in years past! The prizes are great, though.
100% agree
Yeah, I’m a bit disappointed that this feature didn’t come out earlier, since I only have two friends in real life, one whom I already showed webkinz to a few years ago and still plays, and the other used to play webkinz, but doesn’t anymore :/ I don’t really have many people to show webkinz to besides my little cousins, but most of them don’t even own their own computer to play it on. Ah well… well, I hope those who are able to get someone to sign up and use the code enjoy their prize
I totally agree. I won’t be participating. The prizes are nice, but I’ve been playing for about 10 years and have no friends left that are interested.
How does the computer know that that specific person sent them the code if it was printed out?
Every Webkinz World account has a unique Helping Paws code.
