We are running a new series of Employment Office Challenges, starting with the Grocery Clerk!
Running from Monday, December 25th until Sunday, January 7th, complete all the tasks before time runs out and you’ll win some cool prizes!
But don’t leave this challenge until the last minute… some tasks will take time to complete.
Here’s how to play: Starting on Monday, December 25th, look for the Grocery Clerk Challenge icon in your pet’s room. It will be displayed along the left side of the room (Webkinz Classic desktop app only):
Click on the icon to review your tasks. Here are the 3 tasks you’ll need to complete by midnight, January 7th (EST) to earn all the prizes:
- Complete the Grocery Clerk job 3 times at the Employment Office
- Spin the Wheel of WOW 3 times
- Spend 100 KinzCash at the WShop
Drag and drop the groceries on the lower conveyor belt to the matching cut outs on the upper conveyor belt(s). Keep your eye on the time. If you don’t bag all the groceries before time runs out, the job is over!
Complete all the tasks before time runs out and you’ll win a Busy City Visor for your pet to wear while working behind the Checkout Counter!

so it seems the grocery clerk game is glitched, I cant put any food items where they belong they just disappear when I move them to the belt, Ive failed the job twice now, anyone else experiencing this?
Cool! I don’t really play Grocery Clerk very often; it rarely shows up on the job board.
I’m so happy for this one! It’s my favorite Job!
Oh but this one is going to be FUN!! I love the clerk till!!
I love the grocery clerk job! It’s the one I do every day, twice a day. More, if I can remember it’s every 8 hours, not once a day lol. I start by doing the bottom row, I just put them all in order as they appear. Then I go to the middle row, I start with any random item, then skip an item and only do every second item, and continue on in that pattern until the belt comes back to an item I’ve already placed, then I just fill in the blank ones. I do the same for the top, and I usually finish with 140 or more seconds to spare :)
Wow… it’s pretty much the same for me. It’s funny how you just sort of figure out what works for you and just go with it. The middle row is definitely the most difficult for me, as my eyes just don’t want to go right to left. The bottom and top rows are easier. Staying calm and skipping every other item really helps to get the job done with less stress. I love Alandra’s ‘Grocery Store’ room featured above and I look forward to replicating it in my own WW home after earning that sweet new checkout counter!

I love the grocery clerk job, it’s definitely my favorite! I work on the rows one at a time. This strategy has worked well for me, and I’ve only failed once because my cat turned off my computer mid-job lol
Ha ha! At least you can blame your cat! I dozed off while playing late at night and failed the job. There’s a special kind of disappointment reserved just for times like that. :-/
