Hey there arcade enthusiasts! The Home Before Dark Challenge returns to Webkinz Classic on Sunday, March 15th, and players who complete the challenge by Tuesday, April 14th, will win some cool prizes!
But don’t leave this challenge until the last minute… some tasks will take time to complete.
Here’s how to play: Starting on Sunday, March 15th, look for the Home Before Dark Challenge icon in your pet’s room. It will be displayed along the left side of the room (Webkinz Classic desktop app only):
Click on the icon to review your tasks. There are 3 tasks you’ll need to complete by midnight, April 14th (EST) to earn all the prizes:
- Earn 120 KinzCash playing Home Before Dark at the Arcade
- Attempt any 5 jobs at the Employment Office
- Feed your pet 3 Jumbleberries from Jumbleberry Fields!
Complete all the tasks before time runs out and you’ll win a Souvenir Street Sign along with a Home Before Dark Lamppost!

Will the issue with Home before dark on Next (that it is so zoomed out and has been like that for a couple of months? In comparison to the beginning, where the field was big and easy to see) ever be changed??
2 lamp posts would be better. Could you add another one to the goal?

I wish prizes like the lamppost would come in a set of at least 2, it’s a gorgeous piece but it’s hard to decorate with if you only have one of them
Love to play “Home Before Dark”, and the prizes are nice, but…I don’t really want to feed my pet any of my precious Jumbleberries! So…as easy as this challenge is, I will pass. It’s hard enough to save enough of any of the berries for their prizes. I wish we didn’t have challenges that required us feeding our pets any of the Jumbleberries, Sugarberries, Pickleberries, or Moonberries. :-(
Just fill your pet up on something else, then feed them the berries. They won’t eat them if full and they still count towards the challenge. You probably have forgotten we can do this on Classic :)

Hi, thanks for the tip. I never knew about that trick. Now I can save my berries whenever I need to.
I play it backwards. Seems to help me get a little farther along in the game before it gets totally dark!
I start at the houses and work my way back to the start. Not fool proof, but it helps me.

That’s how I have always played LOL
I play this game backwards. I start by connecting as many rooms together as I can and then I will join them to the field. That way I get multiple rooms at one try :)
That’s a smart way to play!
That’s how I play it, too. It’s not my favorite game, but I can get through it for challenges, as otherwise I never play it.
