Probably won’t get posted, but miracles happen. Since COVID and people started working from home this site has major issues if the 1st of the month falls on a weekend. And every July 1st no matter what the day of the week. In the beginning it was understandable: everyone was trying to make it work. Now its three years later and it seems the issues are getting worse. What appears to be your laissez faire attitude towards finding permanent solutions to continuing issues is not an effective way to keep your customers. Why buy from you when their valid concerns are ignored? I never though Webkinz would be equivalent to a video game money pit. But that seems to be what it is right now. Seriously, it’s Monday and the ads still are set on June.

Ads are updated by hand by an employee on the closest business day to the 1st of the month. July 1 is Canada Day, and therefore a stat holiday for employees. Because it fell on a Saturday, Monday was the holiday. Note that this has always been the case, even before COVID. The team is still investigating the issue with the events page, but as it is not consistent, it is proving to be trickier to resolve.
Hi Sally: Thanks so much for responding! I for one appreciate you explaining a few things (especially Events – so many have been asking). I do have a question though because I work with Canadians. All the ones I work with had Friday off since holiday was on Saturday. Do Canadians get both Friday and Monday off if the holiday falls on Saturday? In the US we get Friday off if holiday on Saturday and Monday off if holiday on Sunday.

We generally get the Monday off if a stat holiday falls on the weekend, whether it’s the Saturday or the Sunday. Some holidays are only observed federally (so if you work for the government or the bank), so some people get more than others. Of course, depending on the industry, companies may make other arrangements to provide a different lieu day for the holiday, but in our case, we get the Monday.
And today on July 4, the dreaded Bad Gateway error is back when you can get to the peek/floaties/etc. It is so very frustrating.
