We are running a new series of Employment Office Challenges, continuing this month with the Shoe Store Clerk!
Running from Monday, March 4th until Sunday, March 24th, complete all the tasks before time runs out and you’ll win some cool prizes!
But don’t leave this challenge until the last minute… some tasks will take time to complete.
Here’s how to play: Starting on Monday, march 4th, look for the Shoe Store Clerk Challenge icon in your pet’s room. It will be displayed along the left side of the room (Webkinz Classic desktop app only):
Click on the icon to review your tasks. Here are the 3 tasks you’ll need to complete by midnight, March 24th (EST) to earn all the prizes:
- Successfully complete the Shoe Store Clerk job 3 times at the Employment Office
- Spin the Wheel of WOW 3 times
- Grab a new pair of shoes… spend 100 KinzCash at the KinzStyle Outlet
Click on two boxes to see the shoes inside. If the shoes don’t match, the boxes will close. When you make a match, the boxes remain open. Match the shoes as quickly as you can! If time runs out, the job is over!
Complete all the tasks before time runs out and you’ll receive 2 returning prizes: a Boutique Shoebox, and a Boutique Shoe Display!

Buying shoes has not registered in this challenge several times for me.

Hi Sunshineoflife – this is a glitch that appears sometimes – I had it several months ago and so did several friends. The good news is we were all able to fix it. All you need to do is log in and try to open your mail. If it boots you out, repeat the process and keep repeating until it resets itself. I had to do this about two dozen times before it finally worked, so patience and time will pay off. Best Wishes – hope it works for you.

My tips for memory games are to name the items and then keep reciting them in order to remember the location. For the longest time, I had trouble with this job, in that there are two red pairs of shoes, sneakers and shiny slip-ons (and one red pair of boots, which I just refer to as “boots”). It wasn’t until I started to refer to the slip-ons as “shiny” that I was able to quickly differentiate between the two. The rain boots were easier, in that I have always referred to them as “rain”. So for example the top line would be: “red, yellow, slipper, black, yellow”, and there you already have your first match.
kalcan8, I find that in general, reciting anything out loud helps me remember it. I do the same with the fence painting job. After I say the sequence out loud, when I have to remember it, I can “hear” my voice saying it in my head. Does that make sense?
Yes, Nickelcat. It does make sense. I do the same thing for the Fence Painting Job.
I call that same red shoe “shiny” as well when reciting out loud. For the first red I say “sneaker”. It definitely does help to speak it out loud!
The yellow sneaker I just call “yellow” like you do. :)
I do the same thing with the fashion class at the academy.
