Webkinz Newz Week runs from November 21 – 27 in Webkinz World. There are two parts to Newz Week. You’ll be able to visit the Clubhouse to collect prizes and there will also be a special Newz Week Challenge to complete.
On November 21, head to the Clubhouse and look for the Webkinz Newz Room. You’ll notice that Ella McWoof is busy at work, covering all the hustle and bustle of the Kinzville mayoral election.
If you click on Ella, she’ll give you a special Webkinz Votes 2020 commemorative coin. There are four coins to collect, each featuring one of the mayoral candidates. You’ll only be able to collect one a day, so make sure you visit Ella McWoof every day during Newz Week for the best chance to collect all four coins!
You’ll also be able to watch a short video about this year’s election by clicking on the Podkinz booth, featured in the top corner of the Newz Room. The first time you watch the video each day, you’ll be awarded a special Webkinz Votes 2020 banner that you can display in your pet’s room.
Once you’ve finished collecting your prizes in the Newz Room, you can start your special assignment covering the mayoral election for the Kinzville Times! Look for the Webkinz Newz Week Challenge icon on the left side of your screen, and click on it to review your tasks.
There are 3 tasks that you’ll need to complete, in order to finish your assignment:
- Interview some players at the Arcade… earn 160 KinzCash playing Tile Towers
- Find out who’s voting for who at the Tournament Arena. Win 4 games of Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles.
- Head to Webkinz Newz to finish your assignment… Feed your pet 4 cans of Fizzy Newz Soda

I’ll be skipping this Newz Week. Sorry, I just don’t enjoy playing in the Tournament Arena. Since I’m not going to create a “News Room” in my Webkinz World, I don’t need the podium or banner, nor the coin box. BUT…I wish all the Webkinz Players who will be playing this challenge, the BEST of Luck! Can’t wait to see some of your News Room Designs posted here in the future! I know they will all be amazing! I am horrible at Dogbeard’s Bathtub Battles. Is there any way I can have someone either add me as KittyKittyWest and and help me win? I will do the same for anyone. Otherwise I’ll have to pay $10 for enough eStore points to skip it. TIA.

Thanks for the advice. I played against Alyssa and won 3 out of 4 times. I played Ms. Cowabelle and won the 4th. Anyone needing to finish this particular challenge, friend me. I will try to keep my online status active.
what can you do with the coins you collect? i have some from the 20th anniversary of webkinz but i never could figure out what they are for, they are cool though!!!!
You can sell them in the W Shop, but I just keep mine in a coin chest.
How do we interview players at the Arcade?
You don’t need to do anything special; just play Tile Towers. It’s just a fun way of describing the tasks in the context of Newz Week. Have fun!
I’m still excitedly waiting to hear Dex’s and Dr. Quack’s campaign promises. Only then will I know who to vote for. I love this WebkinzNewz Challenge!

I wish we would go back to Community Challanges instead of individual challenges. Everyone has different skills and levels. There are also times when a person is not able to log on and meet the challenges to earn the prizes. That way the challenges could be met.
I just realized I didn’t manage to collect a Mayor Sophie plush while she was in the park. If anyone has a duplicate they don’t need, could you send it my way. I’d appreciate it so much. Thanks in advance and if not, thanks anyways :)
