Dear Webkinz Fans,

 

Two years ago we came up with an idea. An idea to make some big changes to Webkinz.com to prepare it for its second decade of online fun. That idea was affectionately known as Webkinz X.   Our goal was to give your pets more life and more importance in your day-to-day Webkinz play, and furthermore, reward you for being a great caregiver to your family of pets.

 

After two years of hard work by the Webkinz team, including many long nights and weekends, Webkinz X has arrived.

 

What you will see is just the beginning. Over the next few months we will be dramatically increasing the ways to increase your Family Score, and teach your pets new requests so that you have more ways to care for them. It’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone, whether you’re a collector, a gamer, or just like playing in the room.

 

This first release of Webkinz X does have some issues. We have not made a release this large since… well since we first launched the game 10 years ago. Included in this release is a completely rewritten My Room. This new Room has built from the ground up to give us the ability to add new, exciting features to the Room, many of which you’ve been asking about for a long time.

 

As part of this rewrite, all 17,000+ items in Webkinz World had to be reworked for the new Room. While we got most of these items to work, some are not 100% perfect yet. Some items are not animating properly and other are missing their images. We know that these will be of concern to you, so we have a team dedicated to making these items right, and we will be making regular updates (every few days) until every item is done.

 

Please use the links below to see which items are not working properly. These pages will be kept updated with the latest information, so check them regularly.   Additionally, some popular features are currently disabled (Pet Actions) or changed (Gardening) as we continue to make improvements to our new Room. All of these features will be returning to how you know and love them.   Thank you for your patience as we make these important and exciting changes to Webkinz World. The future has arrived!

If you cannot log in OR if you are logging in and seeing a frozen screen, please follow these steps:

  1) Clear your cache (especially in Chrome). Click here to learn how or on your Chrome browser tab, hit Options>History>Clear History>Clear Cache.

 

2) Check that your Flash Player is up to date.

 

3) Re-type your password in the login box to light up the Log In button. Saved passwords won’t light it up until you re-type it.

 

4) Try a new browser.

 

5) If you’re still experiencing issues, contact Customer Support at webkinzsupport@ganz.com.

    Hey, I think we need to be nice and patient to the webkinz staff!! They are trying their best. This is something they’ve obviously worked very hard on, it’s been 2 YEARS! Wouldn’t you want people to be patient with you if you were in the same situation? I’m sure that all of your items will be returned, and that webkinz x will run smoothly, though it might be a couple of weeks. I know currently for me, I can’t log in, it just keeps refreshing the page. I’m just going to come back later, as I’m sure it will have improved then, and if not, then maybe tomorrow. Webkinz/ganz is a business and they will do their best to make everything available for us. So let’s remember to be nice and not freak out at the webkinz staff please :)

    Hi umm Are we not supposed to be able to log in? I clicked play logged in and it just took me to the homepage. Most of the homepage is missing but I assume you are working on that. And the webkinznewz button doesn’t work But I assume you are working on that. But ya my main question is am i the only one that can’t log in?

    Is the food switched around so that when you feed them the bar goes down instead of up? The more we feed our pet, the hungrier she seems to get!

    it won’t let me log in, I got the pop up with my movie theater armchair from the theater yesterday, but then all I get is the rainbow loading bar it goes to about 80% then starts back at 0% again, I have tried several times each time giving it atleast 5 minuets & it wont load.

    where is the marshmellow challenge icon. Some of my challenges are missing that I was working on and the the Marshmellow icon is not in my room help!!!!!!!!!!!

    I am not able to log into the new site! I logged into the log screen, which by the way just looked like code…….. and now it just keeps loading and refreshing the ads on the side and it will not open the site! Please help Genelle or Steve!!!

      Hi! I had the same problem so if you have a choose of browsers like for me Chrome didn’t work but Firefox did so Yeah try something like that. And My screen was already very small and you guys said it would be bigger with the outsider covering stuff but mine just got smaller and now my screen is very small and some stuff I can’t see… My dock get’s cut off once I leave my house so when I go to the clubhouse I can’t leave because I can’t access the map of kinzville

    I HAVE A PROBLEM!!!! THE NEW WEBKINZ SCREEN IS TOO BIG FOR MY COMPUTER AND IT WON”T LET ME SCROLL DOWN, SO I CAN’T GET TO MY DOCK AND COMPLETE MY PET’S WISHES! PLEASE HELP!!!!!

    whenever I try to go to the home page, a big green W appears. Is this normal? (the home page does not show up afterwords)

      That means it’s loading but if it won’t come up after try another browser. Firefox works for me but the screen is all messed up but for others maybe Chrome, which isn’t working for my computer but hopefully it will soon.
