Dear Webkinz Fans,

 

Two years ago we came up with an idea. An idea to make some big changes to Webkinz.com to prepare it for its second decade of online fun. That idea was affectionately known as Webkinz X.   Our goal was to give your pets more life and more importance in your day-to-day Webkinz play, and furthermore, reward you for being a great caregiver to your family of pets.

 

After two years of hard work by the Webkinz team, including many long nights and weekends, Webkinz X has arrived.

 

What you will see is just the beginning. Over the next few months we will be dramatically increasing the ways to increase your Family Score, and teach your pets new requests so that you have more ways to care for them. It’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone, whether you’re a collector, a gamer, or just like playing in the room.

 

This first release of Webkinz X does have some issues. We have not made a release this large since… well since we first launched the game 10 years ago. Included in this release is a completely rewritten My Room. This new Room has built from the ground up to give us the ability to add new, exciting features to the Room, many of which you’ve been asking about for a long time.

 

As part of this rewrite, all 17,000+ items in Webkinz World had to be reworked for the new Room. While we got most of these items to work, some are not 100% perfect yet. Some items are not animating properly and other are missing their images. We know that these will be of concern to you, so we have a team dedicated to making these items right, and we will be making regular updates (every few days) until every item is done.

 

Please use the links below to see which items are not working properly. These pages will be kept updated with the latest information, so check them regularly.   Additionally, some popular features are currently disabled (Pet Actions) or changed (Gardening) as we continue to make improvements to our new Room. All of these features will be returning to how you know and love them.   Thank you for your patience as we make these important and exciting changes to Webkinz World. The future has arrived!

If you cannot log in OR if you are logging in and seeing a frozen screen, please follow these steps:

  1) Clear your cache (especially in Chrome). Click here to learn how or on your Chrome browser tab, hit Options>History>Clear History>Clear Cache.

 

2) Check that your Flash Player is up to date.

 

3) Re-type your password in the login box to light up the Log In button. Saved passwords won’t light it up until you re-type it.

 

4) Try a new browser.

 

5) If you’re still experiencing issues, contact Customer Support at webkinzsupport@ganz.com.

    I’m having a problem in Adventure Park. One of my challenges can’t be solved (Boris says to dig up an item that doesn’t exist). Anyone else have this problem?

    we hate the video ads that NEVER stop running!!! our account is deluxe… can’t that take care of unwanted ads??? the money we have paid for webkinz makes this frustrating. i cant understand how to keep my pet happy either… the heart never fills up and why is my pet asleep when im playing in the arcade? i still cant see the whole screen either, we have to scroll up and down to find the menus and see pets…. can this be fixed? we have cleared cache already and tried screen adjustments but problems are still there. We are finding it hard to locate things with the changes on the menus, etc… the movie theater on map does not work right either… i know problems are being addressed but we hope all of these issues will be resolved… we still have more pets with unused codes but these “improvements” make us hesitate to enter the codes… ugh! we love webkinz… but good grief this is tough to get used to… thanks for trying to make things more fun though and we will continue to hope for things to get better. please make sure all the issues will be addressed thanks

    Please please please fix that my animals are always so sad. I’ve been playing webkinz for years but this is making me want to quit. No matter what I do they keep getting sadder and sadder and it makes me want to cry. I don’t want to play a game that makes me this sad.

    I really hope the issues get fixed quickly. Game play is so slow and my pets are NEVER smiling and it makes me not want to play. I have to log in again about a thousand times to even do daily stuff and my garden hasn’t grown at all since the change. I’m hanging on but just barely. Fingers crossed.

    Will Goober’s Atomic lab game be fixed? The dock is in the way of playing the game. Same thing in Spree.

    Gennelle, Please, please, please tell the programmers to fix the problem with the pets frowning all the time. I’ve been playing since 2007 and I’m thinking about quitting because it makes me so sad to see my pets sad. This is a terrible glitch.

    Even after the last “fix” the food meter is WAY off. I feed my pet their special food and sometimes the food meter goes down instead of up or it goes up and then down again… I hope this gets fixed soon.

    well this is my second attempt at a post-hate the “upgrade”-sorry. It’s too much too fast and it plays too slowly.Lots of other things I don’t like.Wish you had left the basics alone and just added activities or arcade games. It’s simplicity was a big part of why we liked it-just decorating rooms-playing games when we wanted. Way too many bugs with this change-I’ll check in again every week but I think you lost a lot of people…………….should have made this change a separate site. I don’t play webkinz friends either for all the same reasons. Sorry-I know you worked hard but for our family of 3 accounts and over 500 pets-it’s a major fail.
