Dear Webkinz Fans,

 

Two years ago we came up with an idea. An idea to make some big changes to Webkinz.com to prepare it for its second decade of online fun. That idea was affectionately known as Webkinz X.   Our goal was to give your pets more life and more importance in your day-to-day Webkinz play, and furthermore, reward you for being a great caregiver to your family of pets.

 

After two years of hard work by the Webkinz team, including many long nights and weekends, Webkinz X has arrived.

 

What you will see is just the beginning. Over the next few months we will be dramatically increasing the ways to increase your Family Score, and teach your pets new requests so that you have more ways to care for them. It’s going to be a lot of fun for everyone, whether you’re a collector, a gamer, or just like playing in the room.

 

This first release of Webkinz X does have some issues. We have not made a release this large since… well since we first launched the game 10 years ago. Included in this release is a completely rewritten My Room. This new Room has built from the ground up to give us the ability to add new, exciting features to the Room, many of which you’ve been asking about for a long time.

 

As part of this rewrite, all 17,000+ items in Webkinz World had to be reworked for the new Room. While we got most of these items to work, some are not 100% perfect yet. Some items are not animating properly and other are missing their images. We know that these will be of concern to you, so we have a team dedicated to making these items right, and we will be making regular updates (every few days) until every item is done.

 

Please use the links below to see which items are not working properly. These pages will be kept updated with the latest information, so check them regularly.   Additionally, some popular features are currently disabled (Pet Actions) or changed (Gardening) as we continue to make improvements to our new Room. All of these features will be returning to how you know and love them.   Thank you for your patience as we make these important and exciting changes to Webkinz World. The future has arrived!

If you cannot log in OR if you are logging in and seeing a frozen screen, please follow these steps:

  1) Clear your cache (especially in Chrome). Click here to learn how or on your Chrome browser tab, hit Options>History>Clear History>Clear Cache.

 

2) Check that your Flash Player is up to date.

 

3) Re-type your password in the login box to light up the Log In button. Saved passwords won’t light it up until you re-type it.

 

4) Try a new browser.

 

5) If you’re still experiencing issues, contact Customer Support at webkinzsupport@ganz.com.

    Is anyone else having problems with the clubhouse? I cannot chat so therefore cannot trade in kinzchat plus. It’s been like this since the beginning of webkinz x. It’s my favorite thing to do in webkinz so I’m getting frustrated. I’ve cleared my cache, made sure I have the latest version of flash player and I’ve tried internet exploer and chrome.

    There are too many items to name without going to my many rooms or checking on Ganze store orders

    I purchased a dry sink from the Pioneer theme. As soon as I put it in the room, it disappeared. No box to show where it was. I am missing so many things that are not on your lists. All swimming pools, swings, fairy trees that work etc etc etc.

    I’m sorry to have to go here, guys, but I have had enough frustration. My Deluxe membership runs out at the end of August & I will not renew it until every single missing or incomplete item in my house has been restored. I just spent all my remaining estore points while I could still get the reduced Deluxe prices, and will not be buying any more until all of my items have been restored. We’ve been waiting for 6 weeks, and there is still something wrong with every room in my house. I have a lot of unregistered pets sitting here too, won’t need to buy any more until I know I’m going to get everything I bought back. I’m sorry, but under these circumstances I just can’t see giving the Ganz Corp any more of my money. Very, very sad day for me.

    My Pet wanted to go swim today to make him happy. None of my swimming pools would work, and I have a whole bunch and tried them all. He is so sad.

    I don’t get it webkinz, I just don’t understand. Why not just wait until you were ready to unveil X rather than to not be prepared??!! I understand this is the biggest thing since well Webkinz but at that time people hadn’t put their time money or effort into making their webkinz family what it is now. You took the opportunity to continuously play with our accounts for a program that wasn’t finished. Weak

    I am sorry webkinz, but I hate it. it is now longer the fun place it use to be. I miss the old webkinz. My regular membership just expired, and I am not sure I plan to get a new one. So hear this from a big fan of yours, I want the old webkinz back. It takes forever to load, my rooms are wrecked for lack of furniture, my pets are annoying little brats. Not everything is bad, I like family points. But I would have been so much happier if you had left it the way it was. I used to get on every day, I haven’t logged on for over a week now. Please get rid of some of your updates, I can tell by some the comments I am not the only one who thinks this way. So Matt or Gennelle if you could seriously think about maybe taking a vote on who likes it and who doesn’t and the winning votes decide the fate of the changes, or perhaps change a lot of the updates. Whatever, but anything at this point would be apprieciated. I feel bad about not liking these updates considering the amount of time spent on it, but we are your customers, the people who keep you in business. And that deserves lots of consideration. Perhaps a feature allowing you to choose between versions. I am a great fan of yours, but I HATE webkinz x. And as I am the consumer-and not the only one who seems to think these changes are bad-so please take the outcry of your customers to heart. A lot of us really don’t like these changes.
