Happy Early 14th Webkinz/Ganz! We’ve played on your Website for most of those years, and we have enjoyed every safe moment playing the games and playing with our pets. You guys do amazing work – Thank you each…and thanks for the bird event…we hope to collect enough medallions :)
The original one was grey and this one is brown… why did you change the color? And I think I might name this guy Dusty Birdy or Flappy- he’s gonna go great in my collection and I wonder how he’ll dance and do the wave pet action! XD THIS IS HOW WE RISE UPPPPPP!!!! (that was so random, but Resistance(Skillet) was and is a great song!)
I have been on Webkinz for 2 hours now and only saw 1 Kiwi Medallion. It’s a cute bird but I am not spending all day at the computer. Don’t have the time.
Hi, mayzie–I find that if I stay in one location, like my house or the park or the clubhouse, the medallions float about every seven or eight minutes. I try to do my daily activities or decorate a room in that time so I can watch for them, but without being idle. Hope this can work for you, too.
can you get them on mobile too?
absolutely, yes, the medallions are floating on the mobile app. :-) I have an easier time finding them on mobile than on the desktop version. Good Luck!

So….I was in the “Watch & Win” Room, watching the ads so I could get the prize money, when my first Kiwi medallion floated by! No way to stop the ad video! Just had to sit there and watch it float away! Why in the world do you have the floating items on the same page where we are forced to watch video ads? This is stupid! And, while I’m on a roll, PLEASE stop showing video ads as we try to move from room to room, and right before we try and play a game in the Arcade! I understand having to watch video ads in the “W&W” Room, plus having to see the ones on the right side of our screens, but WHY do we have to watch adds in our rooms or games? Some of us have already PAID for plushies, PAID for ePoints, PAID for Deluxe Memberships, and PAID for eStore items! Sorry! I don’t mean to fuss, but it’s not right to overwhelm us with video ads every single time we try and spend time in WebKinz World. Some of us, like me, can’t sit at the computer for hours and hours playing WebKinz! AND…it made me miss a Medallion!!!! THAT is NOT acceptable! :-(

Thank you, Steve Webkinz. I understand that. I’m not apposed to ads like in the “Watch & Win” Room, just those that happen when we try to go from room to room and when we go to play a game. I want Webkinz to get the revenue from the ads, but the floating items, Medallions, Spree dice, and so on, shouldn’t float across inside the “Watch & Win” Room. I’m sorry if I seem so negative, but it can be really frustrating having to deal with watching ads. Thank you for your quick reply and the link. I truly appreciate the WebKinz Team. honestly I just use an ad blocker and click away the messages about using an adblocker, and I’m an adult. Kids should not be exposed to so many ads, they already see enough of them on television and on other sites if they haven’t figured out how to install an adblocker themselves yet, or their parents put one on the browser. I understand Webkinz needs money to keep the site running, but then need to focus on other ways than non-webkinz video ads that interrupt playing and frustrate players, and force advertisements onto still developing brains, like teaming up with Amazon to have an Amazon exclusive plush webkinz or two, like Mattel has done with Amazon Exclusive Barbies and other toys. I also suggested partnering with pets stores to use them as a platform to get webkinz back in physical stores, because yes, some of them might end up sacrified as dog toys, but people go to pet stores all the time to get brands of pet food the grocery store doesn’t carry or to get other food like crickets depending on what pet they have, even just to look at the animals when they’re bored on a rainy day.
I know what you mean. I’ve had that happen before, and it’s a bit frustrating. What I try to do is figure out the interval between floaties–I just check the clock on my computer when a floaty comes by, and then the next one–then you can time the ads and figure out if you should wait or click the screen for the next ad…I’ve saved myself a lot of time that way. One hint is that, based on my experience, six minutes seems to be the shortest interval; and about nine minutes seems to be the longest….so if you’re getting close to six minutes, it may be better to wait. Hope that helps.

You could, but I don’t think it’s possible to get 200 medallions unless there’s a way to get Kiwi medallions beyond April
I did the calculations, there are 30 days in April so if you are a deluxe member you would collect 150 medallions, plus the 25 from Webkinz day, so you would still be 25 medallions short for a 2nd Kiwi Bird and would have to use 25 any pet medallions to make up the difference, which is kinda a waste if you already have one kiwi bird. What I’m going to do is once I get enough medallions to get the kiwi I’m going to trade the rest for any pet medallions like I’ve done with the medallions for the pets I own own, since I bought the medallion pets available in the estore except I haven’t got the Blossom fish yet, and found a Raccutie for $8 and change online, I was also super duper lucky and found the Mystical Panda when I was going through and opening the huge lot of series 1, 2, and 4 trading cards I bought.
It may be hard to get enough medallions.
I had planned to only get one Kiwi Bird, but then I came up with two names that I really like, and I decided to make them twins. :D
That is what I did with the Lightning Bug. Loved it so much I made them twins!
