Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge Update: If you are playing the Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge on the browser version of Webkinz Classic, you will earn your Earth Scouts Gift Boxes and hats after completing each step. However, you will only be able to design Enchanted Trees on the Webkinz Classic Desktop App. Drag an Earth Scouts Gift Box into your room to choose an Enchanted Sapling. Then, download the Webkinz Classic Desktop App and log in to your Webkinz Classic account. Now you can drag the sapling from your Dock into your room and start designing your Enchanted Tree!
There’s a lot to look forward to in June on Webkinz Classic, including a brand-new Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge!
A new, 8 step Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge starts today, on Webkinz Classic (desktop app and browser only). Complete the challenge by August 31, to earn your Adventure Earth Plaque and unlock special Earth Scout hats along the way. You’ll also earn an Earth Scout Gift Box every time you pass a step of this challenge. Drag the gift box into your room to choose an Enchanted Sapling that you can use to design a tree in your pet’s room!
Here’s how to play: Look for the first Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge icon on Webkinz Classic. It will be displayed along the left side of your screen:
You can click on the icon to review your tasks. Here’s a look at the first three tasks you’ll need to complete the first step of your summer challenge:
- Pick up 5 pieces of litter at Kinzville Park and take them to the recycling bin
- Spin the Wheel of WOW 2 times
- Buy an Adventure Scout Top at the KinzStyle Outlet
The amount of litter you’ll need to collect at Kinzville Park will increase with each step of this challenge. To collect litter, use the Things To Do menu to visit Kinzville Park, and look for litter on the ground. If you see a piece, click on it to add it to your litter bag:
The amount of litter you have collected will be displayed on the litter bag, positioned in the bottom right corner of your screen.
When you have collected some litter, find a recycling bin at the park and click on it to accesses the bin:
Now, you must drag your litter from the litter bag into the Compost or Recycling slots on the recycling bin:
Of course, you can spin the Wheel of WOW at the Games Arcade on Webkinz Classic, but the Adventure Scout Top is only available at the KinzStyle Outlet.
You’ll need to buy the Adventure Scout Top to complete the first step of the summer challenge. The top can be found on the first page of the TOPS section of the KinzStyle Outlet:
Once you complete the first step of the Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge, you’ll earn your first Earth Scouts Gift Box and the Earth Scout Level 1 Hat! When you drag the Earth Scouts Gift Box into your room, you’ll be able to choose an Enchanted Sapling! There are 10 different ones to choose from:
Once you choose your sapling, it will be added to your Dock. Drag an Enchanted Sapling from your Dock into your room to start designing your tree:
Each tree has three tops, trunks and bases to choose from, so there are many design options for each one! Once you are happy with your design, click the SAVE button, and your new tree will be added to your Dock.
Now you can drag the tree from your Dock, into a room to display it:
You will need to pick up litter and spin the wheel of WOW a specific number of time to pass each step of this challenge, but your third task will vary each step of the way.
In some cases, you will need to feed your pet Adventure Trail Mix to pass your task. There’s only one way to collect packs of Adventure Trail Mix this summer: Scout Leader Sophie Stockwell will be handing them out at Kinzville Park! Visit Sophie every day at the park, and click on her to collect Adventure Trail Mix:
As a special reward, if you manage to complete the Adventure Scouts Summer Challenge by midnight, August 31 (EST), you’ll earn the Adventure Earth Plaque as well as your Earth Scout Level 8 Hat and your final Earth Scouts Gift Box:

So yesterday, after going through 4 more parks and not finding a single bit of trash surprise, surprise, I decided to buy my way out of it thinking, “once bought done and over with.” Oh boy was I absolutely positively WRONG! I bought my way out of the finding the 5 pieces of trash which rarely if ever exist in said park and I’m sorry to say that it’s been this way for years, only to find…. wait for it… now I’ve got to find SIX PIECES OF TRASH in the next stage! Six! I am very sorry and this is my NOT so quiet protest but for the first time in 16, going on 17 years, OCD or not and yes I do have OCD, I will NOT be going this challenge because I will NOT be buying my way out of trash pick for multiple stages over two months! OCD or not I’m done and it’s going to be darn hard to ignore it. I’m sorry but before you all decided that this was a good idea, you should have fixed the park and up the drop of trash in the park. I’m very disappointed in Webkinz right now :(.
I have OCD as well, so you are not alone :) The first challenge should have been for 1 piece of trash. Then 2, 3, and so forth. I will be skipping this challenge as well. I also bought my way out of the first task after trying for over 2 days to find trash and only finding 1 piece. I chose the Ancient Oak and it glitched, I chose the lion face as shown above, but it displays as a different style I didn’t pick.
Who can’t get trash picked up?? I know everyone needs it, but it took me 2 hours to get 5 pieces. I dread having to get this trash for each step and I know it keeps going up each step. It’s very frustrating. It drops at such slow rates. I’m sitting there for 10 minutes, trash drops, then everyone scrambles and I’ll maybe get one piece and by the time I’m running to another it’s gone, then I try another area and all trash is already gotten from all areas. So now I start another 10 to 15 minutes of waiting for it again. Could it drop more often at least please??
The park is broken on Wednesday, June 3. I use the browser version of Webkinz Classic on a Acer Chromebook 315. The Classic program was working on June 1 and 2. Now I go to the park. I see a piece of trash. Then I click on it. The error message says “You have been disconnected from the server”. It is IMPOSSIBLE to do the challenge! Yes, I have sent messages from the game to the programmer team. I do not see any solution made by them. Will there be a fix or not?
This ERROR occurs on KinzChat and KinzChat Plus. I usually go to a room by myself. No other player is in the room. The only thing different is that after I finished yesterday’s collection of trash, I added 1 to 5 pieces of trash in the trash bag. I thought I was getting a “head start” on the new day.
Just tried this on the browser version and I was able to collect trash normally. Maybe try clearing cache?
Ms Sally, there has been little to no trash to be picked for YEARS in this game. At one point, about 10 years I went through 8, eight different parks and found NO trash at. All. Not one single piece. Now, either the trash pick up is broken or the Devs at Webkinz purposely set the trash pick up so darn low that it’s not even funny. I’m sorry but it has been this way for years.
It’s not a global issue, so I would recommend that you contact webkinzsupport@ganz.com

I tried again to design my tree. I can get it designed from the sapling and saved, but when I try to plant it I get logged off Webkinz. Help. (on the desktop version)

Unfortunately, these trees cannot be sold once they are completed. Just an FYI.
Sally, or Michael, or whom ever, I can’t find the original article that shows the dissected tree pieces individually. I have not tried to see the trees that way, in my room. I’m not exactly sure how they work, but I need to see ALL my tree options before I can choose one. I assume once you put a tree in your room, to rotate it, that one tree is your only choice. Will you please show us all the trees and choices once again ? Thank-You. { or perhaps help me find original article ? }
Look in the WShop under Specialty Items…the completed trees can be previewed there!

I have found that I cannot “store” the litter for the next level, in my litter bag. It must be PICKED UP for THAT level. This is extremely difficult. If everyone would be willing to pick up only the required # of pieces for the level they are on, it would leave trash for others to pick up.
. . . also, I cannot have litter in my bag, leave the park, then come back, deposit litter in my bag and have it count. This does not seem right. Anyone else experiencing this ?
I believe that the trash is counted when you pick it up, therefor it has already been counted. Hope that helps my friend :)

And I reiterate…. You busy bee’s at Webkinz are going to have to find a way to increase the trash drops in the park! Quite a few years ago, and I’ve not forgotten this, I went through 8, yes eight, different parks and found not one piece of trash. Not one. I was NOT surprised when I went through four different parks yesterday and once again found absolutely NO trash whatsoever. Very disappointed,
Do you remember “x” a new program? I started around 2011 and there was more trash than today. Even the rides from that time period don’t work.
Is anyone else getting the cannot connect to the server error when you try to pick up the trash in the park?
