Today’s Throwback Thursday is a look back at our very first rare theme: the Egyptian Theme!
Normally, items in a rare theme can only be found in the Curio Shop, which means there’s a chance each day that one of these items might appear there, but for one hour only!
When the Curio Shop opened in 2006, the Egyptian Theme was the one and only rare theme in all of Webkinz World. However, not all items in this theme made the cut: there was a toybox that looked like an Egyptian sarcophagus which was deemed to be inappropriate for our audience at that time, and was never released.
Since then, there have been some additions to the Egyptian theme that are a little easier for the Webkinz Archaeologist to dig up! If you keep an eye on the Ganz eStore or the new WShop, you might just see a Kitti of the Nile, the Egyptian Room Divider, a Golden Hippo Toybox, or the frighteningly-funny Mummy’s Awake!
There was also an Egyptian Mummy Mask that was available in the KinzStyle Outlet only for Halloween back in 2012!

I really love the Kitti of the Nile and Mummy’s Awake. I wish the Egyptian theme didn’t retire, actually Ganz I wish nothing retired, but you could still add stuff.

I soooo love the Egyptian Theme and checked the estore all day Thursday and could not find any of these items. Are they only on Thursdays???? Are they listed under a special area. Please tell us more so I can have a chance to get these items to complete my room.

Too bad i didn’t spend every hour on the computer and try and get a item. If you cant tell i’m being sarcastic. I have things i have to do and i cant spend 24/7 on the computer. I missed a lot, i guess. I just want to be able to prove my point. I hope you see that and not hate me for explaining my thoughts.

I would love to have the toy box to put in my Egyptian rooms. I love making new rooms which is why I have about a hundred of them. I think I have most of the themes since I first started Webkinz at least 8 years ago or more.
