In the summer of 2010 we launched the Mazin’ Hamsters line of plush along with a Unity 3D section within Webkinz World. Players could build and explore mazes, journey through the Hamster Hamlet, participate in daily activities, and win prizes—including trophies that were awarded when you completed the mazes.
Unfortunately in the fall of 2015, once the Unity Web Player used to create Mazin’ Hamsters was no longer supported by web browsers, it had to be shut down.
You can still find hamster as virtual pets in Webkinz World or at the Ganz eStore, and if you’re lucky, you might just find someone willing to trade one of these amazing trophies in the Clubhouse.
Have YOU collected any of these trophies? Let us know in the comments below.
BRINGITBACKBRINGITBACKBRINGITBACK!!!!!!!!!!
it was really fun!
but everything your creative team does is BIG FUN!
WELL THAT ABOUT DOES IT! BRING BACK AMAZING WORLD! I MISS MAZIN’ HAMSTERS SOOO MUCH!!! I got almost all of these trophies. I was like 10 when it closed, but I still missed it! I want Amazing World to come back. I want Ganz to at LEAST make the AW codes for Webkinz and have the zings look like themselves, but in Webkinz versions. I contacted Webkinzsupport@Ganz.com, but they never replied. It really annoys me me because they said here: https://www.ganzestore.com/estore/catalog/amazing-world that they’d do the zing codes until APril 30th, 2018. I contacted them BEFORE then, and they never replied. I wasted 75% of my birthday money on new zings, and now I can’t even use them, and almost everyone on Webkinz think that Amazing World wasn’t that great, and they didn’t even play it! =(
I don’t know where you are getting THAT from? I know most of my friends who had the Mazin’ Hamsters on their Kinzville map feel about the same way I do. It is really sad that we can’t access that part of the game any more. And some of the people on Webkinz had a bit of a problem with the 3D at, first, t made them nauseous, but most of us got past that. Dropping mazin Hamsters from Webkinz was very disappointing. And it’s not that any of us didn’t like it or think it wasn’t great, it’s just that you can’t be two places at once. I am still a Webkinz fan to the core and I miss Mazin Hamsters. And losing all the Moolah I made to buy the hamster furnishings was a huge disappointment. I liked both (and I suspect many of us who are Webkinz fans, also did) but we can only be in one place at one time.
Please please please bring back the hamsters, games, mazes and worlds!
Hi-According to webkinzinsider these trophies are not tradable or sendable. Has webkinz changed that? I would really like to trade for some of them. Please let us know!!
Grandpascutie, these trophies can all be sent. I moved a bunch just yesterday. They are out there so good luck trading. DF
Thanks, I will try to get some of them.
I never got any trophies sadly… I loved this game. Is there any way it could get turned into an app or something? ever since amazing world shut down mazin hamsters has been gone. Actually to be fair I was really bad at it…
I Miss it
me to :(
I have about 6 of these. I had so much fun playing the mazes and stuff with my sisters. We would make believe storylines to go along with them and everything.
I got some of these trophies, but I wish I had been able to get more.
This breaks my heart. My son & I had such a great time sharing Webkinz when he was young, but that all ended when Amazing Hamsters went away & he moved on to other game sites. Seeing all of these again…sigh.
I agree 1Emerald1! My grandson and I spent quite a few days laughing while playing Amazing Hamster race games! It was very sad to see the end of them!
Even though I bottle up my emotions in a bottle, I have to agree, it breaks my heart, too.
Also, what was your username on AW?
Oh, I too had a grandson who adored these lil guys! It spelled the end of a magical childhood when they ceased play in WW. Moonshine Mountain was his favorite and he had amassed a considerable fortune in Moolah. He never got to spend it and he was saving for a spree.
Please correct that one line to MOOLAH mountain. My phone autoconfused.
My sisters and I miss the Hamster Hamlet a lot also.
