Did you know that once you’ve earned your Crown of Wonder on Arte’s Gem Hunt, there’s more you can do with your gems?
Visit Doug’s Collector’s Room in the Webkinz Classic Clubhouse to find Doug the Dog. Once you see him, click on him.
Don’t forget–we have updated the game so that he now ALWAYS appears in the room!
He’s looking for gems, and if you have what he’s looking for, he’ll trade them for special prizes!
If you don’t have what he’s looking for, you’ll get KinzCash instead. Each prize you get is better than the next one, but make sure you’ve collected lots of gems before going to see him so, you’ll always have what he’s looking for.
Once you’ve received all the prizes from Doug, you can use a different pet to visit the Clubhouse and start trading gems for prizes all over again!

This has been some of the best newz of the year in WW! (First announced in Mayor Dr. Quack’s update #318) Now anyone who has found gems in the mine and wants to collect Doug’s prizes can bring the same pet back day after day to trade for the full set of prizes at a time that is convenient for them. Thank you for renegotiating Doug’s contract!
Oh, yeah — be sure to use the same pet every single time to get all the prizes. Doug knows your pets, and if he hasn’t met them before he’ll start them at the beginning.

I’ve got multiples of all of the prizes, all from when he just showed up now and then! They’re so cool!
It’s very nice that Doug is always in his clubhouse room now, however, he really needs to add some additional prizes. The prizes have not changed at all in the 12 years I’ve been playing – same with Magic Mire, Fairy Falls, and Woodland Wonders.
A long time ago when Doug was always out mining I used to wait around for him to show up. I managed to complete the search and trade for all prizes two times. It is great he always shows up now, I did not know that, so thanks for letting us know. You must remember to use the same pet from start to finish so I chose to use my first ever plush pet each time to complete this challenge. It was always so exciting to find Doug and get each prize. The carved gem fountain was worth the struggle!
yes my first ever plushie is the only one to complete the collection, but a few others have now come close as well ;)
All I ever get is Rocky Road Ice Cream!

I can never find Doug in the clubhouse between Midnight and 1:00am. Is this a glitch? If not, then you can not ALWAYS find Doug in the clubhouse.
I noticed that too. I figure it’s the Ganz team’s subtle way of telling us we should go get some sleep. LOL!
I’m guessing that when Doug was only in the room 1 hour a day before this change, i’m thinking now he needs a break for that hour.
