Webkinz Newz Week has begun and it’s your time to shine! Ella needs your help to write a front page story for the Kinzville Times, and if you manage to complete your special assignment by midnight, Sunday, April 19, you’ll earn a framed copy that you can display in your pet’s room!
To start your assignment, look for the Newz Week challenge icon. It will be displayed on the left side of your screen:
When you click on the icon, you’ll be able to review the tasks you’ll need to complete in order to finish your assignment on time:
Don’t leave the Webkinz Newz challenge to the last minute… Some tasks take time to complete. But, if you do manage to complete your assignment by midnight, Sunday, April 19 (EST), you’ll earn a special framed copy of your cover story that you can proudly hang in your pet’s room and a Newz Blogger Mug!
You will need to feed your pet 4 cans of Fizzy Newz Soda to complete the Webkinz Newz challenge, but you’ll only be able to find them at webkinznewz.com. You can easily access Webkinz Newz from the THINGS TO DO menu. Look for the daily floating Webkinz Newz Soda can and click on it to send it back to your account. Drag a can of Fizzy Newz Soda onto your Webkinz to feed your pet.
You can also visit the Newz Room at the Clubhouse for even more prizes throughout Newz Week. You can use the THINGS TO DO menu to get there:
Once you’re inside the Newz Room, you can click on the Podkinz recording booth to watch a short video about this year’s Webkinz Day. As soon as the video ends, you’ll be awarded a special coin in honor of the 15th anniversary of Webkinz (limited to 1 coin a day).
You’ll also be able to click on Ella McWoof to get a special prize. She’ll likely be blogging away at her desk, but don’t worry, she’s always excited to meet her fans!
There are 8 prizes to collect, including the rare Webkinz Newz Team signed posters. You’ll only be able to get 1 prize daily, so make sure you check up on Ella every day during Newz Week.

Now I have trouble in the News Room & the Chocolate Room. Lets me in tells me there are 8 or 9 pets in the room. I can not see any and the room is frozen, Can’t even change rooms. What a waste of time to have to keep trying & trying.

Where on my dock can I find the Webkinz Year 15 coin? I received 1 in the clubhouse, and had it in my “New” section. But now that I’ve logged out and back in, I don’t seem to be able to find it.
Well, the coin showed up on the Special Items dock. Not sure why it took so long to appear there, but glad it’s found. I put my first one into a lucky coin box for safe keeping.
I love the signed posters! I really hope that i get some :)

On Webkinz Newz (here), they’ll be those floaty clicky things. Click on it, and it’ll probably tell you to log in to your webkinz account, and bam, soda in your doc!
Just wait for a random floaty clicky to come out of no where.
It will be floating about Webkinz Newz. Just browse pages (or even the refresh button) and you should eventually see the Floaty Clicky can of Fizzy Newz Soda and then click on it. If you’re logged into Webkinz Newz it will automatically send it. Otherwise login using your Webkinz account and password and the can will be sent to your Webkinz account. Hope this helps. Most of the time I click on this News report, it says bad gateway. Does this happen to anyone else?
I fed my pet two cans of Fizzy Newz Soda and it didn’t register on the challenge. The cans are gone and the challenge still shows needed four.
I always wait until my pets are full to feed them. This way I keep my food (or whatever) for the contest and still get credit for having fed them.
That’s happened to me before, as well, when I fed sodas to a sleeping pet. So now I always make sure they’re awake first.
