Was telling my brother and father how i thought it was weird that the ostrich has black feathers on its head,and my dad said “well its a ninja ostrich”.:D love my dad.
It is true; an ostrich can’t fly, but dogs don’t drive cars, cats don’t make own smoothies, birds don’t wear clothes, bears don’t have bedrooms, and frogs don’t attend classes at the Kinzville Academy–or at any other academy, for that matter. So…Keep it all in perspective. It’s a game. A wonderfully charming game.
LOL – have you ever heard of the nursery rhyme “Twenty froggies went to school down beside a rushy pool”? So, yes, they do go to school. :-) But anyway, when I adopted my gray owl in 2008 it first waddled like the original duck and penguin. I guess enough people wrote to customer service because the programming eventually was changed to make the owl fly. I’m curious to see if Ganz will change the mode of locomotion for this ostrich – it’s so adorable!
I still really like this pet, but like everyone else the flying just plain bothered me. So, Steve Webkinz wondering how possible is it that somewhere down the line that might be changed so it doesn’t fly? Is that being thought about at all? Was just thinking about this pet again.

Sooo…Ostrich’s really DO fly. Maybe it’s the rare flying three toed ostrich. (Ostriches have only 2 toes)

I must admit, I didn’t like this pet much at first, but after watching the video, the plush is really cute! ^-^ (Even though it doesn’t really look that much like a real ostrich, heheh) On the contrary, I don’t really like the virtual much, and as many others have pointed out, why, just WHY is it flying?? :P Overall, though, this pet is really nice, but I don’t think I like it enough to get one.
