Michael or Mandy :) would it be possible to do a podkinz on how the room design entry process works? I know we email Michael but what else is involved in the decision on how you chose the entries you showcase and why some are chosen and others are not? How long of a back log do you have ? It would also be cool if there was another email where players can submit their room designs since quite a few have been sending for YEARS and have never been featured. Thanks for taking this into consideration.
The backlog is pretty long! I submitted the Monsters, Inc. room May 9th :) love seeing all the different rooms! The community is so creative <3
claran; I do so love seeing all the rooms too! Have to disagree with you on the back log though. I sent in a room May 5 that has NOT been featured yet. I do know of two friends now, ( I’m sure there may be more) who sent in rooms after this date that have been featured. And I am absolutely elated for them <3 Here's a couple (free) great idea for Rooms: 1. Separate Posts for the NEXT and CLASSIC Rooms. Consistency is much more pleasant on the eyes. 2. When rooms are sent in with the same item/s (from a recent Challenge or Map Collection); Why not gather all those rooms and feature them in one post??? Perhaps set a time frame of 14 days for submission? [ Of course if said items are used throughout the year, absolutely feature them]. But when the item is first introduced & acquired; feature ALL of those artists in an appropriate established timeframe! EXAMPLE: With all the May Deluxe bowling alleys acquired during Deluxe days – How cool would that have been to feature ALL of them in ONE post right here and see all the different ideas with that one cosmic bowling lane?! The Room Featured Posts always generated sooooooo much inspiration, positive/helpful comments, ideas to further the design, and a real sense of community in the past. I just don't see that anymore.
Agree on the wait to see submitted rooms to post. But it’s okay — So many to see! I also thought the Monsters one was cute – Was that time out over on the side?
