In my previous Newz story, I showed you the new Pet Care Heart and said that filling it would earn you more KinzCash and Family Score. But just WHAT is Family Score you ask?
Now, in my EXCLUSIVE SCOOP, here’s more information straight from the TOP SECRET documents!
Family Score is what you earn for playing with your family of pets all around Webkinz World! The more you play and do, the more Family Score you’ll earn! Your Family Score can only EVER go UP. You won’t ever lose Family Score.
As you earn Family Score, you’ll also win prizes! There are a whole bunch of exciting new prizes to be won for the many Family Score milestones!
By filling up Pet Care Hearts you will also earn BONUS KinzCash and Family Score! If you have multiple pets, you can get bonuses for filling up a maximum of 10 Pet Care Hearts each day.
Can’t wait to start earning Family Score? You already have! When the new and improved Webkinz.com launches this summer, current players will automatically earn Family Score for things like the number of pets adopted (up to 100 pets maximum), the number of years they’ve been playing, being a Deluxe Member, and more!
While some players will earn several milestone prizes right away, we have put maximum and daily limits on earning Family Score, so everyone will still have prizes to look forward to! We also plan to add new Family Score milestones and prizes in the future!
Want to know how your score compares? You can see other players’ scores in places like the Clubhouse, in your Friend Finder, and even in the Message Center!

I want them all too. I have 21 pets. I’ve been a webkinz member since 2008. my best friend gave me my first webkinz, a golden retriever. my dad named him Charlie.

I just got the Hammock Bunk Bed! Not sure how many pets I have, but they take up nine pages on the my pets tab LOL. I’ve been a member since like 2007. I love webkinz. It’s my guilty pleasure hahaha. I would die if my friends knew. Only my boyfriend knows. Thankfully, he thinks my obsession adorable. I’m a college student who plays webkinz XD

Wow!! I’m speechless!!! I’ve been with Webkinz along time and have about 60 pets on one account. I had to start new accounts just to house my pets. This is very X-citing!!! Woo-Hoo.. Let’s celebrate!

OK let me ASK i AM NEWER I have a free pet and 2 adopted pets. Will I earn things for EACH of there HEART METERS SEPERATE or 1 HEART METER for all 3 of them ?? How long of a time in playing does it take to get Meter up like feed , 3 baths , nap and a clothing change or will I have to be on a few hour playing to get Meter up or will it take weeks to get POINTs to each level ? Does the size of my house make a difference 5 rooma as apposed to 10 rooms. Will the amount of furniture make ANY DIFFERENCE ? Like in house QUALITY ? Webkinz Friends THE AMOUNT of stuff in your MAP OF LAND and houses made a difference and different trees were of different value like types of houses , DOES THIS CHANGE THE METER ?? With 3 pets WILL I BE ABLE to earn 3 of each of the items in the FAMILY REWARDS ??? ARE THEY ALL !! POSTABLE ??!!??
If you fill all 3 of your pet’s hearts in a day, you’ll earn a higher bonus for KinzCash and Family Score than if you only filled 1 or 2. All Milestone Prizes can be traded and sent by KinzPost.
What ways are there to get Family Score points besides Pet Care Hearts? Sorry I am asking so many questions, when I get really excited, I start thinking of and asking a whole lot of questions. ~Horsegirl~

Well, they will be making more prizes later, so maybe before anyone reaches 100,000 there will be more. I’m super excited for these prizes, too!!! :D
We have prizes for milestones all the way up to 1 million points, but these were all of the ones ready to be shown today.

Are the prizes awarded as you reach each level or is it going to be like Zums where you must purchase the prizes with points you earn?
You will automatically be awarded each prize when you hit a score milestone. There’s no plans to change these prizes, so that means there’s no rush to earn points or prizes. Just play at your own pace and you’ll eventually earn each one.
hi, Steve! i really like it that you use a different color for your txt. it makes it much easier to find what you’ve said about things. thx! i also have a suggestion: i think when we’ve purchased a critter, we should be able to buy their PSI from the WShop just like we can buy their PSF. i’d love it if the PSI were postable, too. AND i think things purchased for eStore points should be something we could sell back to the WShop for the same eStore points we spent. i bought a flower shower bc i though it would be a great way to keep my pets clean, but it doesn’t clean them at all. sigh. thx!
Thats a great idea AvzoraGW! I don’t know thought, maybe that would make the PSI less special if u could get as many as u want, at the same time filling up a room with the same PSI would be pretty cool :D

I’m sure that I’ll have a huge shot for some automatic family score because I have been playing Webkinz for 8 1/2 years and I have over 50 pets on my main account! I have been considering buying a Deluxe Membership but I’m gone a lot this summer and I’m trying to save up for a good camera. Hi playnowpuppy. There’s no prize shop for Family Score. When you win a new Milestone Prize, you’ll get a pop up awarding you that prize. Also, there will be Milestone Prizes added for 100,000 points and up that currently aren’t shown on the chart, but the ones shown here will remain the same.

Hey Gennelle or whoever sees this, will you guys ever make that deluxe clothing store not deluxe? The one with the poodle girl. I mean just the clothes inside. Because my sister saved for that for quite awhile and bought it when she was deluxe. She didn’t have it too long before her membership expired and she couldn’t buy any clothes. Will this be changed?

Milestone Prizes can only be earned once per account. However, ALL of the prizes can be traded and sent through KinzPost.

The prizes are fine, but it sounds like some of them aren’t going to be easy to unlock without spending a bunch of money. There’s no way I’m buying 100 Webkinz with codes and logging them all on, and I’m not buying Deluxe membership. But they still should’ve kept the health meter. Like a lot of things we don’t have anymore.

This is like the point system they had on Webkinz Friends. Everyday you play you build up points. It was easy. These prizes look great. I want that Sliding Patio Window! I am always looking for big windows.
I actually like this better…my health meter always has an annoying glitch so im ready to get it removed once and for all:) Don’t worry Pokekinz just be patient we can all get the prizes if we just put a little effort;) It’s better to earn things then to just have the prizes handed to you^-^
Cheyabella: Yeah, I’m fully aware of that, I’m just saying it’s quite possibly some of these prizes will only be unlockable with Deluxe membership and/or a whole lotta pets. I’m pretty sure it will take a very long time to earn most of the prizes. Demented77: I don’t want them handed to me, I just don’t think spending money should play a part in this. Getting Deluxe doesn’t really do anything for your Webkinz besides maybe unlock Arcade Games. I guess it does unlock the Vacation Island, but normal members used to have access to that, so that just ticks me off. And I’m still annoyed with GANZ for removing the Health Meter, because they’re removing all things to do with health (magical medicine that cures all illnesses? Sure, that’s totally plausible).

I agree @demented77, My health meter always was glutting up and would never stay above 70
I feel like the new points systems are designed to get us more hooked on it, and not in the way you get hooked on a good book but the way you get hooked to addictive but superficial games like Candy Crush. Things like how the care heart goes down one fourth every day so you have to get it back up again, and how the family score means you have to have a goal of how many hours you play on the computer, which is pretty harmful; playing Webkinz is fun, but I think it’s weird how these changes are encouraging players to play as much as they possibly can when it’s really not healthy to play all day. I liked what they did with Webkinz Jr. (when it was still a thing) where you couldn’t earn more than a certain number of coins so that after like two hours you’d be pretty much done playing for the day until you logged back on tomorrow; that way, kids could still play without getting addicted. But this new thing-a-ma-jig seems to have the opposite effect, and although I’m still a kid I’m a little wary of it.
There will be limits to the amount of Family Score that can be earned in a day.

Is it true that the care heart will go down so much each day? I hope that is not the case! There are many instances where a player may not have access for many days (family vacations, being grounded, illness, or families without their own home computer/internet access) and it seems unfair to penalize those who don’t have frequent access.
So what is the daily limit???
I think Ganz is trying to get us to have a more fun experience playing with our pets. I asked myself: how much am I REALLY motivated to care for my pet? Well, not much. Aside from these prizes being AWESOME, this will have us try our best to care for our pets! And although I’m sure some of these prizes will be hard to get, I wouldn’t want to get them all too quickly. So yeah. Any complaints on this update? No! I LOVE THIS!!!!

I have a feeling that there are a lot of ways to get the points so I wouldn’t worry too much about it Pokekinz. I found that as I went through the prize list I started to figure out which rooms they would go in or what new rooms I would design! These prizes are amazing and I know that I will enjoy earning them!

I agree about the pet meter 100%! I’m so skeptical about their new ideas :( But this, this to me is so amazing! <3 the piano and can't wait to earn the trophy! :)
You don’t NEED 100+ pets or a Deluxe membership to get good things. That’s just a jump start to get you on your way. After the initial points, you can fill up to 10 hearts a day and revive more! Only time will tell how slow going it will be. Hope this helps! :)
Almost forgot to add, Dr quack is retired! No pets are going to get sick anymore. The health meter would always stay at or near 100%. It was redundant. The energy meter sounds like a lot of fun! :D

You get points for pets you already have, up to a hundred pets per account. You can adopt as many pets as you want, but you’ll only get points for the first 100 :)
Thanks Gennelle! I was concerned that if I adopted too many pets, some of them would be erased or something. I have 124 Webkinz spread out through two accounts, I made a second because I read having over 100 on one account slows it down. I’m sorry I keep bothering you with problems, but on my first Webkinz account, the pets are organized really strangely…the pets start about halfway through, go backwards, and when we reach my first pet, we go from my newest pet backwards (I’m not sure if that’s quite right, but I think that’s how it is). You don’t have to answer, I just wanted you to know about the problem :) ~Horsegirl~
Horsegirl, who you play seems to have to do with that — your pet line up. My current go-to is a Key Lime Dragon* and he was adopted about mid-way in my 183 pets on my main account. So in my Pets ‘album’, when I click it, he’s first, then it seems to go on in order from him, then catches back up to the new one. But then I looked just now on my Girls’ Boarding Academy account, and it’s mixed up a little differently at the very end. So there we are, but it does seem to relate to where in your adoption line-up your played pet comes into things. *Shhhh. Auran thinks he’s a dragon. And so do all the other dragons on my accounts. So….he’s a dragon!
Do you have to play with all your pets or the health will go down? I have around 314 pets right now after many years of play and I don’t think I could keep up with them all in the time I have available per day.
There’s no health anymore!!! (%~%)

Steve, it is in the dock under “furniture” and I have tried to place it on the Kinzville map with no luck.

Hi Horsegirl. Please call the eStore at 1-888-818-8770 (9AM-5PM, M-F EST) and they can look into the eStore Points issue for you.
Gennelle do you have to adopt new pets only or do the pets that have been adopted over the years count? My daughter and I have been playing for many years now and we have hundreds of pets each. (I hope they count).
You’ll get points for the first 100 pets adopted on your account, both past and future. You can adopt as many as you like onto an account, but only the first 100 will result in points added to your Family Score.
Gennelle Do you get points and the Deluxe Gift on your last month? If so I have not received it.
Unfortunately you do not receive these in your last month.
Gennelle, can you help me? Somebody accessed my account and got me banned from KinzChat Plus for 6 days. Is there a way to remove the ban?
You can write to Customer Support to ask about the ban here: webkinzsupport@ganz.com. Be sure to include your username and when it happened.
Halp me too! (I was on for all of this): I threw a Comfort Fridge and Fuschia Freeze Fridge into my room. When I switched my pets, then switched back to the pet in the room, both pink fridges were GONE! Not in my dock, not in my room, they were NOWHERE and I felt like I wasted my KinzCash. And no they did not give me Kinzcash. And the Comfort Fridge had stuff! Like CAKE!

I was right with you fairytales49, I was not looking forward to Webkinz X, but this is eXciting! I’m sorry if I offended anyone, with my previous remarks about Webkinz X, because I take those back. *thunders in from the distance* IS THAT A GOOBER PLUSH I HEAR??? MY GOOBER SENSES HAVE YET TO FAIL ME. I don’t think we’ve ever had a normal Goober plush (we only had the holiday one), so that’s pretty cool.
That so is! me and a lot of other players have been begging § to make a Goober plush for a while now, so excited § made one :)

The Dock will be similar to the one you’re using now, but with several improvements. Stay tuned to Webkinz Newz because Ella has some more information about the new Dock coming soon!

wow these prizes r . . . EPIC! And yeah BACONLOVER1 I can’t belive I was so nervouse, this is gonna be so cool! I’m just gonna need MAJOR help figuring out all this once it happens, I mean this is A LOT to take in and I just hope I can keep up with it all :O I’m super Xcited about it all though, these prizes are amazing(and some of them are looking VERY pricy) OhMyGosh, to think Webkinz is all changing now, looks and other things I mean, really making Webkinz something new aren’t u §? :) I’m sure this will attract a lot of people to play webkinz :) I guess improvments are neccisary, *deep breaths* ok Webkinz X, I’m ready for u ;) ;D

Am I the only one who still feels nervous about webkinz x…? Anyways, the prizes look cool! I’m still a little confused about all these announcements, but we’ll probably understand once it comes out. :)
Don’t worry, Country! I think there isn’t anything to worry about. And even if there is, no hurt in hoping for the best! Even if we ARE disappointed, at least it’ll be better if we don’t worry too much. So I’m happy that Webkinz X is turning out to be such a great new update!

I am still a little nervous too though, but I feel a whole lot better about it after seeing this article and hearing from the § team :) This does look VERY amazing and VERY confusing, but maybe not, It’s probaly not as complecated as we think, this is a kids game after all :)

It’ll still be called Webkinz World. Webkinz X is the name for the refreshed changes to the site.

I have some questions for Gennelle. 1- do our pet academy levels stay the same? and do we get to keep our rooms? 2- I have an item I want to get rid of. I can’t sell it, trade it, or send it. I’m trying to get a room for fan build screenshots, or even a Clubhouse winning design. I can’t figure out a theme, so should i just use it as something else? I don’t know what to do.
1) All your personal levels, scores, rooms and stuff you own will stay the same 2) I would ask your fellow players for advice on this one!

I’m really confused. How do you even see your family score? It says we’ve already started, but where do you see your score! HELP!
It hasn’t started yet. It will start with the launch of Webkinz X this summer. What we mean is that everything you’ve accomplished up until now in Webkinz World — pet adoptions, etc — for as long as you’ve been playing, will be added up and you’ll see your Family Score the first time you log in after Webkinz X. Then you keep accumulating your Score from there.
IKR, but it does not seem like they are going to change to much, it seems like there just going to add.
