Dacey is Coming to Town!
You guys! You’re never going to believe what happened today! One of my BFFs (superstar Dacey Bryn) called me after school. And guess what she said? “My mom just bought a house in Kinzville! It’s about 10 minutes from where you live!” Can you believe it?! Apparently Ms. Bryn really loved Kinzville when she and Dacey were here to film Dacey’s movie. She decided that if the right house was available, they’d buy it and live here for part of the year. How awesome is that? Dacey said she wanted to keep it a secret from me until they knew for sure that they’d be moving in. She said that it’s an older house near Fluffington’s mansion, and that it would have to be totally redecorated. I told her about Hailey and Elwin and she said she’d tell her mom to hire them. Dacey and her mom are going to be here this weekend, so I’m definitely going to visit. How wonderful – both of my BFFs in one place! Roberta is going to be so excited!
Tough News for Sparky
You guys will never, ever, ever believe what happened to me today. I’m so embarrassed …and kind of mad. And it’s all because of my parents. We were having dinner and my mom said, “Sparky, we have something we want to tell you about Thanksgiving this year.” And I TRIED to pretend I didn’t know, but I blurted out “I know! We’re going to the Tropical Island on holiday! I can’t wait!” And my parents looked at each other and my dad cleared his throat and said, “Well, we’re not ALL going. I’m going. Your mom is going. But you’re not.” And I just stared at him. I couldn’t believe it. And then he said, “How did you know about the holiday, anyway?” And we got into a discussion about eavesdropping and how sometimes it can give you the wrong idea about something. No kidding. My mom said she was sorry, but she and my dad were about to celebrate their fifteenth wedding anniversary, and this was their special trip. So I get to stay with my Uncle Arte for Thanksgiving. And Uncle Arte is NOT a great cook like my mom. So we’ll probably end up having … Read more
Roberta’s Bad Day
Dear Diary, I have never (NEVER) been angrier at Ms. Stripes than I am right now. She told us who was cast in which role for the Thanksgiving pageant. And guess what I am? The lead? Noooo! The supporting actress? Noooo! I don’t even have any LINES. Why is that? Because I’m a tree! A tree! Cowabelle, on the other hand, is the lead. She gets to dress up like a pilgrim and sing and dance and do all sorts of other things. Meanwhile, I get to get splinters from my costume. I cannot believe Ms. Stripes! She is so unfair. And you know what she said, when I went up to her after class and asked her why I was a tree? “Roberta, it’s important that you learn to share the spotlight. You can’t ALWAYS be the lead, you know.” And I said “But Cowabelle has been the lead a lot as well. Why does SHE get to do it again now?” And Mrs. Stripes just said something about Cowabelle suiting the part, and for the Christmas pageant maybe I could have a more prominent role. Know what? I’m not even going to be IN the Thanksgiving … Read more
Catching up with Plumpy
Hi everyone! Plumpy here, writing from my wonderful apartment in South Webkinz World. Charles and I have been traveling so much lately, but we’ve settled here for a little while. Charles is going to be doing some research and giving some lectures at the Kinziversity. Do you want to see what our apartment looks like? Let me give you a tour! This is our shared office; Charles and I take turns using the desk. You can usually find me there during the day and him there at night. I would love to have my very own office, but for now…we can share! I really love the view out of the window – it’s so inspiring! I absolutely love our kitchen. It’s really simple, but very stylish. You can see that I’m enjoying a few bonbons that Charles picked up for me. Since the apartment is pretty small, this is our dining area as well. When we have guests over, we can eat at the table and the counter. This is our bedroom. It’s very peaceful – I absolutely love the white and green and wood. The bed is SO comfortable, and the couches are perfect … Read more
Salley’s Choice
Dear Salley, It’s your old dad with a big question: would you like to come and spend Thanksgiving with me? I would love to have you come out here for a few days. We can go to the museum, visit the family, and even go for ice cream every night after dinner. What do you think? I really hope you say yes. Love, Dad Dear Dad, Mom and I were planning on spending Thanksgiving here in Kinzville, but I guess I could ask her if I could go see you instead. We could always do Thanksgiving when I get back. I would like to see you, and all of the stuff you have planned sounds like so much fun! Let me just check with her and I’ll get back to you. Love, Salley Dear Mom, Dad just asked me if I could spend Thanksgiving at his house. I don’t like to bug you while you’re at work, but I think I should let him know if it’s OK with you or not. So…what do you think? Can I go and have Thanksgiving with dad? Love, Salley Dear Salley, I was planning on us … Read more
‘Kinz Meeting Minutes
First order of business: Sparky has an announcement. He is going away with his parents on holiday at Thanksgiving. They are visiting the Tropical Island. Salley asks what this has to do with club business. Sparky says she’s just jealous. Second order of business: The Thanksgiving pageant. Everyone is pretty nervous to find out who’s going to be the lead. Roberta and Cowabelle are neck-and-neck and Roberta thinks she’s going to get it. Cowabelle respectfully disagrees. Sparky reminds them that it is just a silly pageant and what does it matter anyway? He is going to go on holiday. Third order of business: How can the ‘Kinz help out this year for Thanksgiving? Several suggestions were made: Working with Cowabelle at the soup kitchen Donating clothes and toys (Nibbles insists this is more of a ‘Christmas thing’) Bringing baskets of goodies to neighbors Raking leaves for elderly neighbors After a vote, the results are in: the ‘Kinz are going to help Cowabelle and bring baskets of goodies to neighbors. Contents of baskets to be decided at the next meeting. Fourth order of business: Sparky wants to talk about his trip more. Salley says that the meeting is over. End … Read more
Sparky’s Big Vacation?
Sparky here with some pretty amazing news; I overheard my parents talking last night and I heard my mom say, “Oh, well it’s such a great idea to go on vacation for Thanksgiving. We’re going to have a wonderful time! The Tropical Island is gorgeous this time of year!” (And I wasn’t eavesdropping, by the way. I went to the kitchen to get some milk and they just happened to be talking in the living room, and I just happened to have excellent hearing and I might have perhaps put an empty glass against the wall to help amplify the sound a little.) We’re going away for Thanksgiving? To the Tropical Island? I have one thing to say about that: AMAZING! I can’t believe my parents are keeping this big surprise from me! They’re so sneaky. I’ll try my best to look shocked when they do tell me. For now, though, I can’t wait to tell all my friends. They are going to be SO jealous!
April’s Visit
Hey everyone! Alex Tiger here with some amazing news. My old neighbor, April, is coming back to Kinzville to visit her aunt for Thanksgiving! I can’t believe it! I haven’t seen April in over a year, although we email all the time. April was such a great friend to me when we lived next door to each other, so I can’t wait to hang out again. She said that she wants me to clear my schedule because she’s got days of fun planned out. Sounds good to me! I might even bring along Sparky or some of the ‘Kinz – they don’t really know April as well as I do, so I’m sure they’d love a chance to make a new friend. Thanksgiving is going to be AWESOME this year!
Nibbles and Too Much Candy
Ugh, you guys! I’ve made a terrible, terrible mistake. What did I do? I ate candy. All the candy for the trick-or-treaters tomorrow night. That’s, like, way too much candy for one hippo. I think I must have eaten about 40 mini chocolate bars. The thing is, I did it over such a long period of time that I didn’t even notice – plus, I was working on my homework, so I didn’t realize that I was snacking at the same time. I just started with one and before I knew it, I had eaten two entire bags. When I realized it, suddenly I didn’t feel very well. My mom asked me to put the candy in a bowl, so I had to confess and tell her what happened. She freaked out a little bit and asked how in Webkinz World I managed to eat all that chocolate. Good question. Anyway, I didn’t eat any dinner or anything – my stomach is so sore. My mom says that if I just take it easy and eat nothing but healthy foods for the next few days, I should feel better. Right now, I don’t want to think about eating ANYTHING. … Read more

Roberta’s Halloween Conundrum
Roberta here with a tough decision on my mind: what should Reid be for Halloween? There are so many options – and I’d like to make him the costume. I was thinking of maybe making him into a little wizard, but that’s not cute enough. Then I thought of maybe making him into a superhero, but it seems a bit old for him right now. Now I’m thinking that perhaps the cutest, sweetest costume would be a pumpkin! What do you think? How adorable would Reid be, dressed as a little pumpkin? I think that might just be the best idea ever! Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
