Ms. Stripes Is Actually NICE?
Hi , it’s Sparky and I’ve got some unbelievable news! You know Ms. Stripes? She’s actually NICE! Even though she’s new here and really strict and has yelled at some of us already (including at me this one time I accidentally dropped something in the middle of class. It wasn’t my fault!), yesterday Nibbles told me that when she was crying in the hallway because she’d gotten a bad mark on her science test, Ms. Stripes stopped and consoled her. She said Nibbles just needed a bit of extra help and that she’d be glad to stay after school to go over homework with her. She even offered her a piece of her chocolate bar. I can’t believe it! Ms. Stripes has been the toughest teacher we’ve ever had, but maybe she has a soft side too! Next time I do badly on a test, maybe I’ll try crying in the hallway, too….hmm…

Vote for the School President!
Good day, children. It’s Ms. Cowoline. Well, it’s time to cast your votes for School Council President. Each of the candidates has put a lot of thought and hard work into their campaigns and we thank every one of them for their dedication. Although only one of them can hold the post of president they should all be proud of the effort they have put forth and the love they have shown for their school in running for this post. You’ve listened to the candidates’ speeches and heard what each one hopes to bring to the role. Please consider their viewpoints and take into account how their various ideas will impact the school and its students when you vote. So let’s get this election started! Please cast your ballot for Polly, Cowabelle or Purr-Cilla now!
Hailey and Ms. Stripes’ Heart to Heart
So I stopped by Kinzville Academy today to surprise Ms. Stripes with a bunch of flowers as a thank you for being such a great client. Ms. Cowoline directed me to her class and as I waited outside for her to dismiss the kids it seemed like a very different Ms. Stripes than the one I knew was in that classroom. It sounded like Sparky dropped his hat on the floor and Ms. Stripes accused him of doing it on purpose to disrupt the class. When Sparky tried to explain that his hat fell off when he bent over to pick up his pencil, Ms. Stripes told him that for speaking back to her he was going to have to stay in for recess. Then when Nibbles tried to explain that she saw the hat fall off, Ms. Stripes told her to stay in too. When Ms. Stripes came out and saw me, I guess the shock on my face was apparent. She invited me to come for a coffee in the staff room and explained that although she may sound tough, she has to be firm because she is new and the kids wouldn’t respect her if she wasn’t … Read more
The Three Musketeers – Act 3
The young fighter awoke to sunbeams filtering through the window. With a start, he remembered Constance’s arrest, and jumped to his feet. “I must find the Musketeers!” he said aloud. “They’ll know what to do!” He could hear muffled voices down the hall: a grim lady’s tone and Constance’s low murmur. Sneaking out the window, D’Artagnan rushed to the same corner he’d found the Musketeers on yesterday, but there was no one there. Then, quickly, he caught a glimpse of a familiar uniform emerging from a pie shop. It was Athos! “Athos! I need your help!” The older guard looked concerned. “What’s wrong, boy?” “The Cardinal! He’s captured my landlady, who’s actually the Queen’s lady-in-waiting, and he’s in cahoots with the spy Milady De Winter!” Athos gaped at him. “Milady’s still around? I’d do anything to stop her! Let’s go!” Five minutes later they skidded to a stop near the front of the inn. A familiar carriage, seemingly occupied, was waiting outside the door. Athos poked D’Artagnan. “That’s her in there! I’d know that voice anywhere.” He paused to listen. “And the other one’s the Cardinal, I’d wager.” “You know her?” asked D’Artagnan curiously. Athos sighed. “Yes, when we were … Read more
The Three Musketeers – Act 2
D’Artagnan’s inn turned out to be a clean, warm place with very few customers. After bidding goodbye to his new friends, he introduced himself to the landlady, a pretty young woman named Constance. “How’s business?” he asked her. “It comes and goes,” she said brightly. “Literally.” D’Artagnan laughed but stopped abruptly when he noticed Constance looking concernedly behind him. Curious, he turned to see a hooded woman behind him, her face in shadows. “Constance! I’m so glad to have found you here. I have a dilemma. Oh, who’s this?” “This is D’Artagnan, a new customer, your Hi—“ “Shh! Be careful, Constance! Come here, I need to speak with you.” Suspicious, the young fighter watched the two women converse in whispers. At one point, Constance gestured at him and they both nodded. A moment later, the lady addressed him. “How would you like the chance to serve your Queen, young man?” D’Artagnan sprang to his feet. “More than anything, ma’am!” The lady lowered her hood. She was a bit plain but still lovely—and more importantly, was wearing a glimmering gold crown! “Constance tells me you’re a bright, eager … Read more
The Three Musketeers – Act 1
D’Artagnan couldn’t believe how noisy Old Kinzville was. Carriages clattering, vendors yelling, children running: it was so different from his quiet homeland of Gascony! But he kept on through the crowd, sometimes consulting his (wildly inaccurate) map, determined to reach Mr. Treville, Captain of the famous King’s Musketeers. The young man had travelled all this way for that very reason—to become a member of these elite guards—and nothing would stop him now! Just as he stepped onto the sidewalk, however, he noticed a tall figure in an ice-blue gown just ahead of him. She turned her head and D’Artagnan nearly gasped aloud at her cold beauty. Without thinking, he began striding toward her, intent on introducing himself to such a remarkable lady. But just as he did, she saw him, scowled, and jumped into a nearby carriage beginning to pull away. D’Artagnan stopped short. How dare she ignore him, an honorable young man, and insult him so? He must confront her! “How rude!” he said indignantly, and gave chase to the speeding vehicle. In his haste, he leapt over boxes, stalls and even people, prompting a few yells of surprise. As he … Read more
Ms. Stripes’ Office
Well, Elwin and I are almost finished here at Ms. Stripes’ house. We just put the finishing touches on her new office. Ms. Stripes has this really cool piece of art, the Cubist Tapestry, and she asked if we could use it as the focal point of her office. She said that when she’s planning her lessons she draws inspiration from its interesting lines and subdued colors. As soon as Elwin saw the tapestry he said he knew exactly the wallpaper to set it off to its best advantage. The Elegant Exposed Brick Walls picked up the colors in the artwork, but also has a crisp white that makes the tapestry pop. Elwin had a cool idea for an unusual but funky desk for Ms. Stripes that he thought would complement the tapestry too. He put together a couple of Downtown Kitchen Counters and for a seat used the Animal Print Ottoman. What a stunning combo and who could have thought of it but my stylish brother? Against one wall we placed Ms. Stripes’ sewing station and punctuated it with an Oval Contour Cabinet on either side. Don’t they look cool with this wallpaper? And in another corner we popped … Read more

Ella’s Poll
Ella McWoof here with a report on the school elections. I’m doing an informal poll among the students to see which candidates they are leaning toward voting for. Let’s see what they have to say. Roberta: I am definitely voting for Cowabelle. And it’s not just because she’s my best friend either. I think she would make an awesome president – she is super talented and she always does lots of work around the school with her mother. I mean, who would know better how to run the council than the principal’s kid? Salley: Well, I like Cowabelle, but I think I’m probably going to vote for Polly Panda because I think it would be nice to have someone who is totally new to the role and hasn’t been so involved in the school. Stoogles: Um, okay, well, don’t tell Salley this because I know they didn’t get along so well last year, but I actually think I might vote for Purr-Cilla. It’s just that we worked together on council last year and she actually had some really good ideas. Sparky: Wow, this is tough because Cowabelle and Polly are … Read more
Roberta and Booger’s Compromise
So Booger decided to completely redo my girls’ soccer page because I used my scrapbooking supplies with lots of flower stickers and stamps, and Booger wanted it to look like a science diagram for his Anatomy of an Academy theme. I looked at it and it really had a lot of information, but I thought it just looked boring. There was no color or personality to it. So I asked Booger if we could use his idea of adding scientific labels to the pages, but maybe add a little bit of pizzazz. Booger said that might be interesting – I think he was starting to realize that his idea was missing something. So we decided that we would use Booger’s layout of the ‘scientific’ labels but we are going to add some neat images, lettering and colors to liven it up. We tried working together on one page and came up with a really neat look that still fit within Booger’s theme. So we’re going to do that will all the pages. And you know what? I actually think that Booger’s idea is pretty neat. It makes the yearbook more interesting.
School President Speeches: Polly Panda
Hi there. My name is Polly Panda and I am running for School President. I may not have as much experience on school council as some candidates, and I may be newer to this school than most of you, but I believe it’s those traits which makes me an excellent candidate to bring fresh new ideas to this student body. As some of you know, before I moved to Kinzville, I lived in the Big City. So you see I have the experience of having attended one of the largest schools in Webkinz World and seeing how things are run there. I would like to bring my experiences from the Big City to Kinzville Academy. And while I may be newer to this school than some of you, I feel that it is a testament to my character that I have been able to embrace the students of Kinzville Academy and make so many new friends here. The ‘Kinz have really become like my second family since I moved here and I love being part of this school. I will bring that passion for Kinzville Academy and that sense of friendship to the position of president. I believe that an … Read more
School President Speeches: Purr-Cilla
Well, I guess I need no introduction. I mean, I’m sure you all know exactly who I am. Last year I ran for school president and I came so close to winning that Salley Cat knew she had to ask me to join her on school council. I very graciously accepted her offer and although she wasn’t always the easiest ‘Kinz to work with, we did manage to get a lot done. In case you need a little reminder, last year Ms. Cowoline (my opponent’s mother) decided to cancel the Halloween parade, a longstanding tradition at our school. Despite the fact that some members of the council (who shall remain nameless) wanted to simply disobey our principal’s wishes and show up in costume anyway, I came up with a plan to start a petition to convince Ms. Cowoline to allow us to continue our beloved tradition and it worked. In helping to plan the Fall Fair I was instrumental in introducing realistic budgeting to your *ahem* president’s unrealistic plans. I also came up with a fair way to organize volunteers so that we’d have enough to handle all the jobs that needed doing. And for last year’s school trip it … Read more
