Laurabeard’s News
Dear Diary, You’ll NEVER believe what happened today: my best friend, Laurabeard, showed up at my house at noon. We hadn’t planned to do anything together, but I was really happy to see her. She was…nervous. I invited her in and got out some snacks, but she just fiddled with the carrot sticks and dip, and didn’t really eat anything. Then, all of a sudden, she blurted out: “Nibbles, I’m going to be going away for awhile. Like, away from Kinzville. For more than a month.” And I choked on the celery stick I was eating. When I stopped coughing, I asked what in Webkinz World she was talking about. Well, apparently Dogbeard is headed out on yet another fantastic voyage – only this time, he’s invited his whole family to join him. He said he needed some ‘extra paws on deck.’ So Laurabeard is going. She’s really, really excited. But sad because she’ll be gone for at least three months. And it could be longer, depending on how things go. She’s not even sure she’ll be back for Plumpy’s wedding (whenever that will be). I can’t believe it. First my sister gets … Read more

Amanda Panda’s Basement gets a makeover
Hi! It’s Amanda Panda here and I have some really cool news! Our mom and dad have been talking about renovating our basement for years and it has finally happened!!! Now I am going to have a really cool PRIVATE area where my friends and I can hang out, listen to music and watch movies. They said that Polly and I could be involved in the design so we called Hailey and Elwin because I think that they are awesome designers, don’t you? They certainly had their job cut out for them. Our basement has been filled with nothing but junk since we moved here. My dad has his messy old workshop in the corner but he’s going to move that to the garage. With the cement walls and stone floor, it wasn’t much to look at. We had a huge job of clearing it out, but once we were done, Hailey and Elwin had a blank slate. Polly and I wanted a place to chill with our friends, and I wanted to be able to do some cooking, and Polly wanted a crafting area too. And our mom really wanted to add … Read more
Homemade Wrapping Paper
Roberta here with a fantastic (and easy) craft – homemade wrapping paper, perfect for making a friend’s gift extra-special. Here’s what you need:Two large pieces of newsprint or white scrapbooking paper, acrylic paint in different colors, paintbrush, water (for rinsing the paintbrush) What you do: Dab dots of paint all over the paper. Use lots of different colors! Press the second sheet of paper over top of the dots and smooth it down with your hands. Pull the pieces of paper apart –you’ll have splats of paint on both of them. Let the paint try. When the paint is dry, wrap the gift with the paper.
Nibbles gets some bad news
Okay, be glad you’re not me, because my life just keeps getting worse. First, it looks like my sister, Plumpy, might abandon me. Now, it is almost absolutely for certain that my very best friend is definitely going to. I was over at Laurabeard’s house today when she got a letter from her brother, Dogbeard. He wrote to invite her to join him on a Webkinz Worldwide cruise that would last for months, if not longer. He said that they would have all sorts of exciting adventures and explore exotic, new places. Okay, don’t get me wrong. I know that sounds totally awesome, right? But Laurabeard is my best friend. The last thing I need right now is her taking off on some wild pirate voyage. And with Plumpy going off and getting married I need her support now more than ever. Even though Laurabeard was totally psyched about it and ran down to tell her mom, I wasn’t too worried though because whose parents are going to pull them out of school to go sailing around the world with her brother, the pirate. That’s crazy, right? WRONG! Apparently Laurabeard’s parents thought it … Read more
Nibbles Hippo: Nervous
Nibbles Hippo here with a bit of a problem. See, my big sister Plumpy got engaged. That’s totally great and everything. I really like Charles Rhineholt, and Plumpy is a lot older than me, so I kind of figured this might happen. But now, what’s going to happen to me? Right now, I live with Plumpy and her best friend, Wiggles. You’re probably wondering about my parents, right? Well, they’re scientists. They’ve been working on the KinzSpace Station for years – in fact, I haven’t even seen them for over a year, although they do call whenever they’re back on solid ground (and they email all the time). Their mission is supposed to be over at the end of this year, so I know they’re coming home soon. And…I guess that means I’ll live with them again. But what about their next mission? Will I have to move? I really wish I had some answers. I don’t want Plumpy to leave, but Charles travels all over Webkinz World. He’s a famous historian, and he’s always giving talks and papers and stuff. But now that he’s going to be married, maybe he’ll stay in Kinzville? Maybe he’ll stop traveling and move into our house? Maybe … Read more
Hailey and Elwin make over Debbie Dragon’s bedroom
Elwin here. Our pal, Debbie Dragon, came to Hailey and me and asked us if we could help her out with her bedroom. Apparently Debbie has been living with a lot of hand-me-downs from her parents and grandparents so her room was a mishmash of heavy, older antiques. And with the dark colors, it all just seemed very overwhelming. Debbie is a successful professional and she wanted her bedroom to reflect that. She has been saving up for a while so that she could do this reno right. This is the ‘before.’ See what we mean? The dark red floor and walls just seem so heavy, especially when combined with all these rich wood grains and antiques. It also doesn’t really match. I mean, we’re all for a bit of mixing and matching, but there are so many different wood tones here. The one thing that Debbie really wanted was more storage space for her clothes. She has a very polished, expensive work wardrobe and she wants her things to be really well organized so that she can access them easily. She also loves having a fireplace in her room so … Read more
Salley’s Party
Ugh. This is not exactly my idea of a great Valentine’s Day. I mean, it’s actually pretty fun, hanging out and watching movies with my friends, but I’ve been really jumpy. I keep worrying that any minute my house is going to be bombarded with unwelcome party guests. Cowabelle said to relax and enjoy myself. It’s getting kind of late and she said that if anyone were going to turn up they would be here by now. I’m sure she’s probably right but I can’t help feeling a bit nervous still. I mean, my mom would freak if everybody from school was here when she got home. What was that??? Oh no – it’s the doorbell! I’ve got to go see who it is. I feel a bit sick. It’s all starting… Hey, I’m back! So guess who that was? It was not a horde of rowdy party goers if that’s what you’re thinking (because I was totally thinking that!) It was Stoogles. He just came over to stay that he realized that he crossed the line and he wanted to apologize. Isn’t that sweet? He even brought a giant heart shaped … Read more
The Big Proposal
Ella McWoof here with a follow up to our original article, detailing the Valentine’s plans of several Kinzville residents. As you probably remember, one of the residents had a brilliant (and very romantic) dinner in mind. And now I can tell you who that someone is! It’s Sir Rhineholt! And tonight, under a starry sky, he proposed to our very own Plumpy Hippo. And guess what? She said yes! Plumpy called me as soon as she got back home and told me the story. “It was so lovely,” she said, sounding positively giddy. “Charles prepared a beautiful dinner for me. Vegetarian lasagna, Stubbly Grass Nibbles, and a big glass of chocolate milk – my favorites! Then he brought out the most gorgeous chocolate fudge cake for dessert. That Rhino knows the way to my heart! After dinner, he suggested that we go for a walk. We ended up right near the Magical Forest. The snow was falling gently, and the Good Fairies were flying through the sky, leaving trails of sparkling pink light behind them. I was so busy staring up at the fairies, that I didn’t notice Charles … Read more
Molly’s Valentine’s Day
This afternoon, we had our Valentine’s Day dance. It was actually a lot of fun! The ‘Kinz and I all just went as friends, no couples or anything. We ate SO many goodies (Nibbles felt pretty sick by the end of things) and danced a LOT! Ms. Cowoline made sure that most of the music was fast, but when one slow song came on, the ‘Kinz decided to dance to it –as a joke, of course. Salley and Stoogles did some kind of waltz, Roberta did a tap dance with Cowoline, Sparky and Nibbles just jumped up and down like maniacs – and then Alex asked me to dance. So we did. I think it would’ve been considered some kind of line dance. Anyway, it was a great time! I’m so glad I went, and so glad that Alex and I are still going to be friends. Tonight, I’m going to visit Salley for a girls’ night in – movies, popcorn, goodies – the works! Hope your Valentine’s Day is wonderful!
Roberta’s Valentine’s Day
Roberta Rabbit here with some great news. My Valentine’s Day treats went over really well with my whole class. Everyone loved them! Well, almost everyone. Purr-Cilla refused to take a bag of goodies from me. She said (loudly, while tossing the bag to the floor) they were ‘juvenile’ and ‘ridiculous’ and told me they were more suited to a kindergarten class. Sparky said he’d be happy to take (and eat) Purr-Cilla’s goodies. Miss Daisy was not too pleased with Purr-Cilla’s attitude, and she decided that maybe Purr-Cilla should stay in at recess and help clean the chalkboards. So, overall, it’s been a great day! I hope you and your friends had an excellent Valentine’s Day. I’m going to head over to Salley’s for a Valentine’s Day girls’ night!
