Salley and Stoogles disagree
Oh. My. Gosh. Stoogles is completely out of control! You know how my mom said I could have a few friends over on Valentine’s Day? And by ‘a few’, she specifically meant no more than four? Well, today when I was walking through the hall at school, I swear every other person who passed me said something like, “Hey Salley! Can’t wait for your party!” or “See you at your Valentine’s party!” It seemed like almost everyone at school thought they were coming to my place on Valentine’s Day for a party! How many guests did Stoogles invite? This is crazy! I finally tracked him down. He was standing in his classroom, surrounded by a group of about ten students, telling them all how awesome my Valentine’s Party was going to be! I dragged him out of there and told him that he was going to have to fix this mess he had created. He acted like he didn’t even know what I was talking about! He said he had really only invited a couple of friends. I told him that clearly was not true and do you know what he said … Read more

Without further ado, here are the winners: # 1: The Lady in Red was a definite favorite. You seemed to really go for the whimsical Lumberjack Hat atop this charming red number. Day 2: This cow is clearly rocking this outfit and you seemed to agree. Day 3: Pretty in Plaid was the clear winner. Of course, this little Guinea Pig’s positive attitude sure seemed to help! Thanks again, everyone! I hope we’ve inspired you to try some new fashions with your own pets.
Hailey & Elwin redecorate Sam McWoof’s office
Hey readers! It’s me, Elwin. Recently Hailey and I got a call from our friend, Ella McWoof. She’s been helping out in her uncle Sam McWoof’s office lately and she said that it really needed a pick-me-up. She thought it was a bit dated and that it could be organized so that Sam had better access to his files as well as a place to meet with clients. Sam agreed with Ella and said that she had carte blanche to change up his office however she sees fit. He even gave her access to his account at the W Shop and the eStore. Of course Ella knew exactly what to do – she called us! So this is Sam’s office before. It’s okay, I guess. Kind of has a country feel to it though. It just doesn’t say ‘Big City Detective’ to me, you know? I’m not sure how much he gets done at that desk either – it’s more decorative than functional, and if there’s anything a busy guy like Sam needs, it’s function. Hailey and I felt that we really needed to add some sophisication as well as hi-tech gadgetry to … Read more

Alex’s Bad Day
Dear April, Today has not been the best day of my life. I was walking home from Sparky’s when I ran into Molly, who was walking home from Cowabelle’s. I said hi, and then she said, “Alex, we have to talk.” I wasn’t sure what we had to talk about, but we sat down on a bench and she said, “Alex, I like you.” And I couldn’t believe it! I was just about to say “I like you too, and I bought you those presents at Christmastime!” when she said, “As a friend. Just a friend.” And then I didn’t know what to say. She kept talking. “Roberta told me you were going to give me chocolates on Valentine’s Day, but I really don’t think you should. We’re just friends, and I’d like to keep it that way, at least for now. We’re young, we’ve got years ahead of us…” And I just nodded. She stuck out her hoof and I shook it. “Still pals?” she asked. And I just nodded again. She smiled and walked off. And me? I just sat there for awhile. But then, after realizing how cold I was, I … Read more
Molly Pig: Mortified
You’ll never believe what happened to me today. I was at Cowabelle’s house, working on a geography project with Cowabelle and Roberta. We were looking up facts about Kinzville, when all of a sudden Roberta asked this really random question. “What would you do if a boy liked you?” Cowabelle giggled, and then they got into this long conversation about which boys they like at school and which TV star is cutest and stuff like that. But me? I didn’t know what to say. I’ve never really thought about it, to be honest. When I didn’t answer, Roberta said, “What if a boy liked YOU, Molly?”And I said, “That would be OK, I guess.”And then Cowabelle started to laugh and she said, “Just tell her!”And I said, “Tell me what?”And they laughed some more and then guess what Roberta finally said? She found out that Alex Tiger likes me. AND he bought me chocolates for Valentine’s Day! Alex. Alex Tiger! My friend! I couldn’t believe it. I told her she must have her facts wrong, but she assured me that she was right. I quickly changed the subject and suggested that we get a snack. Roberta and Cowabelle didn’t … Read more
Roberta’s Valentine Craft: Candy Calculator
Another wonderful craft to add to the bag of Valentine’s treats for my class! What you need: Cardstock, scissors, candy dots, double-sided tape, marker, printer paper , glue stick What you do: Measure the cardstock, and mark it so you can cut it into four equal rectangles. Cut along the lines you marked. You now have four ‘calculators’. Cut out small white rectangles from the printer paper. At the top of each calculator, glue a small white rectangle for a screen. Write a Valentine’s message like “You’re #1” or “U R GR-8!” or “U R 2 Cool!” Cut your candy buttons into squares of twelve (3 candies in 4 rows). On the bottom of the calculator, use double-sided tape to secure the paper the candies are on. Decorate the calculator with fun stickers.

Persephone’s Fashion Show Day 1
Hey, readers! I am just planning my winter fashion show, but I have been so swamped that I could really use a little help and I was hoping you guys might step up to the plate. I’ve thrown together some fab winter ensembles, but I can’t decide which ones to feature in my show. Can I run a few by you and you pick which one of the three you prefer? Awesome! I thought we would start with some exterior fashions. Outdoor Fashions – Option #1 So this model is sporting the fun and multi-hued Checkered Fleece Jacket. I picked up the pink check in the coat with a cheerful Pink Beanie Cap. I thought the snowy white Hit the Slopes Boots were a bright option for footwear, and we kept up the wintery theme with some Snowy Face Stickers. And the Vogue Vampire Pants? An unexpected choice, no? Outdoor Fashions – Option #2 Our model is a study in scarlet. I just loved the vibrant red of the Born to Board Top and Pants. And I knew the Lumberjack Hat would make an eclectic topper. A pair of high … Read more
Roberta’s Conundrum
Roberta here, with a bit of a conundrum. See, I was at my locker after school and I kind of overheard something that I wasn’t supposed to overhear. Alex was talking to Sparky about a girl he likes. He was saying how worried he was about what to get for that certain special someone for Valentine’s Day. Alex mentioned a box of chocolates (which I think is PERFECT for anyone, really), but Sparky was saying that maybe he should get this girl a pack of baseball cards and some gum. I wasn’t sure which girl they were talking about, so I thought maybe it was someone who liked sports (and gum). But then Alex said, “I don’t know if Molly would like that!” And I couldn’t help myself, I had to interject. “No!” I said. “Alex, go with the chocolates. Molly doesn’t even like baseball.” Whoops. Alex turned BRIGHT red, and Sparky didn’t look too pleased. Well, it’s not my fault! They were talking, and I could hear them. I’m a rabbit! I have good ears! Anyway, Alex said something quickly about going with the chocolates and then ran off. Sparky said, … Read more

Groundhog Poetry
I was so excited to meet THE Groundhog today that I wrote this poem about him! Ode to a Groundhog By Roberta Rabbit On the second of February every year, A face pops out and turns to peer, Around to see if he can spot, Whether a shadow he has got. The groundhog gives us hope for spring, And whether sunshine soon shall bring, Flowers, birds and warmer days, Or more of winter’s cool, dull greys. If he sees his shadow they say, He’ll turn around and go away, Down his hole. Then things are bleak, For winter’s here for six more weeks. But if he sees no shadow there, Rejoice and for the spring prepare, For brighter skies are on the way, When we can go outside and play!

Groundhog Day Recipe
