You’ll never believe what happened to me today. I was at Cowabelle’s house, working on a geography project with Cowabelle and Roberta. We were looking up facts about Kinzville, when all of a sudden Roberta asked this really random question.
“What would you do if a boy liked you?”
Cowabelle giggled, and then they got into this long conversation about which boys they like at school and which TV star is cutest and stuff like that.
But me? I didn’t know what to say. I’ve never really thought about it, to be honest. When I didn’t answer, Roberta said, “What if a boy liked YOU, Molly?”
And I said, “That would be OK, I guess.”
And then Cowabelle started to laugh and she said, “Just tell her!”
And I said, “Tell me what?”
And they laughed some more and then guess what Roberta finally said?
She found out that Alex Tiger likes me. AND he bought me chocolates for Valentine’s Day!
Alex. Alex Tiger! My friend! I couldn’t believe it. I told her she must have her facts wrong, but she assured me that she was right.
I quickly changed the subject and suggested that we get a snack. Roberta and Cowabelle didn’t mention Alex again, but they kept exchanging glances and smiling.
Ugh.
So. Now what? I don’t like Alex like that! He’s just my friend. I’m too young to date anyone – my parents would freak out! So now I just have to tell him the truth – nicely, of course, and hope that we can still be buddies afterwards.
I guess I’ll talk to him tomorrow.

You are all being mean to Roberta! Cowabelle took part in it too! And they did stop talking to her about it because they must have realized it was a little mean, even if they did ‘exchange glances’. Also, if you were in that position, you would not know what you would do because it affects everyone differently. And soo what? Roberta and Cowabelle said something secret to her, no one is perfect, and Molly didn’t get angry at them so no harm done.
Why did you do that Roberta? That was mean!

Roberta, you were not supposed to tell Molly! How would you feel if you were Molly and you just found out about a boy who has a crush on you? You know, what if Molly came to you to tell you that Sparky has a crush on you? Though I doubt anyone will have a crush on someone who blabs secrets to people who aren’t supposed to know them. I have the feeling that Roberta is going to be lonely this Valentine’s Day…not even any friends!
That was really not polite Roberta. Alex has to talk to Molly himself, with his own words. I am 99 percent that Alex and Sparky won’t be your friends anymore. I am 100 percent that Sparky and Alex will stay your friends. They’re really sweet. If they don’t forgive you, they’re not your true friends. Although you did something bad. You have to forgive, and forget.
