A Mysterious Island

Dear Nibbles,

You will never guess what I just heard! We came across another ship while we were out sailing and Dogbeard anchored his ship nearby and took a dinghy across to meet with the other captain. When he came back he said that the captain told him that he is in search of a mythical island ruled by a magical creature with long ears and a cottony tail. He said that the island was the source of untold riches, but that the ruler was a kind being who loved to share his treasure with the world. But the captain told Dogbeard that the island is only accessible for a short time in the spring and that if we want a taste of its spoils, we will have to find it before the magical creature takes off on his worldwide trek in a couple of weeks.

What could it mean? What do you think the island is? And what could the treasure be?

The captain invited us to join him on his quest to discover this elusive land. Isn’t that exciting?

I’ll write again when I know more!

Love,

Laurabeard

I think the ruler of the ‘island’ might be a Cotton Candy Bunny, the description suits perfectly, but I agree with you, lilyluvie. I would rather stay at home, I mean YOU ARE ON A BOAT, NO PROPER BATHROOM, GOING ON DANGEROUS ADVENTURES, with a PIRATE! Why would your parents let him be that?! And let you sail off to nowhere?! THAT’S CRAZY! *~Ruchirock~*

Wow! I wondered where the Easter Bunny stayed during the year! Now I think I know! Thanks, Laurabeard! All the best! MDIChickadee P.S. Why would a friend NOT sign their message “Love,”??? I do that for my friends that I truly love like a sister or a brother. “Love” does not HAVE to be a romantic word. My mom says there are languages where there are many different words for snow, and other languages where there are many different words for love – each with a distinctive meaning for a particular situation. It is English that tends to have one word that touches many different situations. :-)
