Since it’s time for the Secret Friend event, now is a great time to learn to make a mailbox for leaving treats, gifts and notes!

What you need:

Box,  construction paper, brass fastener, cardstock, scissors, paint, stickers, glitter – anything you’d like to decorate your mailbox with!

What you do:

1.       Have your adult assistant cut out a rounded door flap at one end of your box. The flap will fold down and this is where you’ll put the gifts/notes.

2.       Decorate your box anyway you like!

3.       Have your adult assistant make a little hole in the side of your box (where you’d like the flag to go).

4.       Cut out a flag from the cardstock.

5.       Make a little hole in the bottom of the flag and push the fastener through the hole. Push the fastener through the hole in the box and secure it in place.

Put your mailbox someplace where people can find it – they’ve got letters to leave you, after all!
