Hey – it’s me, Stoogles! A few nights ago, all the boys camped out in tents on the beach! It was so cool! We built a big campfire and cooked hot dogs and S’mores on sticks! And before we went to sleep we sang a whole bunch of camp songs! We were so loud I’ll bet the girls could hear it from the cabins!
Here are some of the songs we sang:
The ‘Kinz Go Marching
The ‘Kinz go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ‘Kinz go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The Kinz go marching one by one
The little one stops to suck his thumb
And they all go marching – stamp to the camp
To get out of the rain
The following verses replace ‘The ‘Kinz go marching one by one/The little one stops to suck his thumb’ with:
The ‘Kinz go marching two by two/The little one stops to tie his shoe
The ‘Kinz go marching three by three/The little one stops to climb a tree
The ‘Kinz go marching four by four/The little one stops to shut the door
The ‘Kinz go marching five by five/The little one stops to take a dive
The ‘Kinz go marching six by six/The little one stops to pick up sticks
The ‘Kinz go marching seven by seven/The little one stops to pray to heaven
The ‘Kinz go marching eight by eight/The little one stops to shut the gate
The ants go marching nine by nine/The little one stops to check the time
The ants go marching ten by ten/The little one stops to say “THE END”)
Little Red Wagon
Bumping up and down in my little red wagon
Bumping up and down in my little red wagon
Bumping up and down in my little red wagon
Won’t you be my darling?
The following verses, replace ‘Bumping Up and down in my little red wagon’ with:
One wheel’s off and the axel’s broken
We’re gonna fix it with a screwdriver
If You’re Happy and You Know It
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands (clap clap)
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands (clap clap)
If you’re happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands. (clap clap)
The following verses, replace ‘clap your hands (clap clap)’ with:
Stomp your feet (stomp stomp)
Shout “Hurray!” (hoo-ray!)
Do all three (clap-clap, stomp-stomp, hoo-ray!)
What are your favorite camp songs, friends?
i love you camping
Um…. no offense to anybody, but we aren’t all little kids. Actually, most of us are 9 or older. This is too childish. Camp songs? These songs are songs I sang in Kindergarten, literally Kindergarten. They just made minor changes to make it sound more… “Kinzy.”
:@ I wish we could get those tents. :@
