Campkinz Room Design Challenge
Hailey here! So I am thinking about maybe working with a new designer since Elwin is gone. I’ve been talking with Wiggles Pig about the possibility of the two of us collaborating on some projects. I also had an application for a summer intern job from a surprisingly young applicant – Plumpy asked me if I would consider letting Nibbles help out around the office while she’s off school. Apparently Nibbles has always had a passion for designing in her own room and Plumpy thought it would be good for her to have something to occupy her while she gets used to the fact that her newlywed big sis wouldn’t be around so much. I could certainly use some help keeping this place in order since I’m on my own now so I thought it was a great idea.
I also thought it might be fun to see how my style meshes with both Wiggles and Nibbles by setting us all a design challenge: we are each going to design a Campkinz-themed room! We each started with the same room with Campkinz Flooring and Wallpaper. You can let me know what you think of each design.
Here are the results:
Nibbles’ Campkinz Room
Nibbles’ room is pretty basic, but then isn’t that what camp is all about? I think it’s great. It’s got space for three campers to sleep, a fire pit with a sitting area, and a desk area to write letters home, as well as some storage for a raft, oars, surfboards and a handy backpack. I think this is a pretty nice looking space for a beginner, don’t you?
Wiggles’ Design
Wow! I have always said that Wiggles had flair. He went in a totally different direction and decided to create a Campkinz-themed studio apartment for one. Is it ever cool! He chose the Nomad Tent bed and paired it with the Long Neck Deck Chair to create a primitive sleeping area. His kitchenette features a Chef Gazpacho stove and the Campkinz Kitchen Set as well as a kitchen island. And he used the Campkinz Picnic Table and Benches for a rustic eating nook. He even divided off one corner to create a simple bathroom featuring a Pirate’s Rub-a-Dub Washtub. Nice job, Wiggles!
Hailey’s Room
Here is my version and I will admit I cheated a bit and used some of my favorite spa pieces to create my bathroom space. I wanted a room where three campers can sleep comfortably, with a bathroom, an eating area and a lounge. I think that this would be a pretty neat space to hang out in for a week or two, don’t you?
I liked hailey
personally i like the last one!!! i love how the beds are behind the barrel wall :) NEAT.
Awesome rooms! But i like Nibbles the best, BECAUSE its more like a camping house. The others are great to but they are more fancy and camping houses arn’t spose to be fancy. They are spose to be durable for the weather. But i also like Hailey’s room to! Good job! PEACE!! ;] ~Maxine A.K.A Max
Hmm, I cannot choose a winner, because personally I believe that a combo of all 3 designs would be best. ~()PL4Ever()~
I love Nibbles room!=-
does anybody know how to get that backpack thing ? it’s by the water-mobile and the campkinz cooler in Nibbles’ room. I’m trying to recreate some of these but i can’t do Hailey’s due to the fact that I have no eStore points and you need them to get that spa shower thing.
i think wiggles might just barley make it in the designing business.
hI AUDREY HERE AND I THINK THE CHALLEGE WILL BE SO MUCH FUN. THANKS
I’ll go with Nibbles since it looks like everyone agrees it’s suppose to be a overnight camp. jennifer
I think wiggles room is thebest, even though they all look cool! >>cathouse2
Hailey’s is the best. It makes me want to go camping outdoors but come back to a cabin that I could relax in. You’d think I’d want to wait before we got home to take a shower? But hey, I’m all about luxury and that stuff….. and fun.
